Our world was turned upside down the last couple of months - DH had been having problems with pain in his leg... thought it was a blood clot, or some other sort of injury. Lots of swelling in the lower leg/calf, cramping, also pain in foot. After urgent care, ER visits x2, CT scan & other doc visits... my sweet husband had Ewing's Sarcoma in his leg (possibly not operable), and it has also spread to his lungs. He is 42 - Sarcoma is generally a younger persons cancer, so kind of a strange thing. He started chemo two weeks ago, today started noticing hair falling out.... so went to a friend who does hair to have it buzzed...

Chemo is scheduled for 17 cycles, 3 weeks apart. So, basically a year of our lives will be chemo. The first time we met with cancer surgeon, he said it was months, not years, that he had... WOW! But, it's not sounding so quick now. Our 20 year anniversary is Aug 1... I would like 20 more years with him... We are having faith that we'll have a good while together still.

We were supposed to go to Flaming Gorge in Utah for a family reunion (cross-thresd..) end of June, but ain't gonna happen now... We'll stay here and fight the evil beast that is cancer.
