LAST EDITED ON 11-05-08 AT 11:20 PM (EST)You can't write this stuff.Riddle me this. On what other TV show can you watch two frat boys argue with an elderly Indian woman over ironing laundry? That's right, there isn't one. Because Hollywood couldn't write this kind of stuff. It's just too ridiculous. ...By the way, Ken & Tina finished last and were non-eliminated, in what might have been the least shocking India episode ever. Week 6 Results 1st place - Nick/Star (2x) 2nd place - Kelly/Christy (1.6x) 3rd place - Toni/Dallas (.9x) 4th place - Terence/Sarah (.8x) 5th place - Andrew/Dan (.7x) 6th place - Ken/Tina (0x) 7th place - Aja/Ty (0x) Election ResultsIn case you missed the results of the elections I posted yesterday, here they are again. Brock Llama - 22 Don McLean - 20 As you can see, it was a very close election. As expected, we will probably go into recounts, but it's likely that they will hold up. All Llama supporters will get a 32.27 point bonus (27.27 + 5), while McLean supporters will get an even 20 points. If you're interested in seeing the breakdown of voting, I've colorized our names appropriately in the Leaderboard section. The Perfect Bet Award goes to Starshine, dajaki, Road Kill, and Corvis for making All-In wagers on Nick/Starr. Not the riskiest bet ever, but it was right, and that's what matters. The Greatest Gainer Award goes to Corvis for moving up 8 ranks to #24 overall. He narrowly beat out Max Headroom who moved 7 spots. Leaderboard 1. flipxcyd - 308 2. KwietOne - 295 3. As you can see, the Bonus Game inflated a lot of scores. We also had a perfect week, with no one missing their entry. It's amazing what a free handout does for attendance, huh? These weren't the rankings for last week, but it was interesting to see how several of the top players went for McLean. I'm guessing the logic was to play defense and prevent a potential 100+ point bonus. There was definitely a bigger upside to going for the McLean bonus, which explains why the vote ended up being so close. Week 7 Payout Table 1st place - 2x 2nd place - 1.6x 3rd place - 1.2x 4th place - .8x 5th place - .4x 6th place - 0x Max Individual Bet - 95 points This week's table is called "y=.4x". All you math-types should enjoy that. Bonus Game - Lucky 7!Ah, another classic TAR Casino Game. Don't worry, we've got a brand new one next week. Besides, this is the last possible time we could do it! In this bonus game, all you have to do is add to 7. That is, you'll pick two teams with the hopes that their rankings will add to 7 at the end of this week's episode. That means you're picking a pair of teams that you think will finish 1st/6th, 2nd/5th, or 3rd/4th. You can wager up to 20 points on this bonus game, and your picks with be subject to the following payout table: Lucky 7 Payout Table Adds to 7 - 5x Doesn't Add - 0x Remember to label your Lucky 7 picks separate from your regular bets. For example, if you think next week's episode will finish the same as this week's, your bets might look like: Nick/Starr - 95 points Kelly/Christy - 95 points Lucky 7 Nick/Starr & Ken/Tina - 20 points The nice thing is that it doesn't matter what you were going for in your original picks. If you expected Nick/Starr and Ken/Tina to finish 1st/6th and they end up 5th/2nd, you still win. A flukey win is a still a win. TAR13 Teams Remaining Andrew/Dan Kelly/Christy Ken/Tina Nick/Starr Terence/Sarah Toni/Dallas No free handouts this week, but we should still be able to rack up those points! Good luck everyone! I really did mean to vote for Brock Llama. After I submitted my PM, I couldn't believe that I did exactly the opposite of what I was going to do.
