He said in an interview on 'The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch' Sugar Ray said that he was not taken serious until he began dressing as a successful person. I think he said alot of doors/business opportunities began to open once he began to dress for success. I must admit these fellas was officialy pimped out. I'll have to watch it again because in round three, I felt the fight was going more Ahmed's way and it seemed that was true for round 4 as well. I forgot about the punch after they were broken up, he probably did get a penalty point there. The ref stepped in and Ahmed kept swinging.   Top

Ishe has one heck of a punch. Not that I'm any kind of boxing expert or anything, but how can Ishe box longer than 5 rounds? He flings his arms all over the place when he's fighting. They must have felt like anchors by the end of the fight. I'll give him credit for putting together some nice combinations, but he almost got the ref with his elbows once or twice. Ahmed (I don't like the little boy) didn't have the combinations, but at least he had better control of his arms. Both Jesse and Jonathan in Ep.2 were much better fighters. I think we should keep this in mind further down the line when the West team starts fighting each other. See you Sunday.   Top

"RE: Round Five" A large part of that is simply the fact of having only 24 hours to prepare for an opponent. It inevitably leads to sloppier fights than if a boxer has more time to study his opponent and work with a trainer. Ishe's style is normally much more conservative and patient; he's actually a pretty stylish boxer-puncher. But he also saw that Ahmed's weakness was a vulnerability to winging punches to the body, and over a five-round fight you don't want to wait to set up your combos, you just need to go for it. Also, to be fair, my experience is that it's a lot harder to properly assess a fighter on TV than from ringside, and even more so when 80% of the fight is edited out.   Top

I'm not sure taht he's really hurt - sounded more like a "you could poke a guy's eye out with that thing!" type of remark, but I won't rule out it being more serious than initially thought. I think it would suck for a lot of reasons: 1) bringing back an East to replace a West, as I said above 2) dad in Afghanistan, as you said 3) It would suck no matter who had to leave, from either team 4) think it would be a big detriment to the competitions if someone has to leave due to an injury sustained therein - it would only be natural for the others not to go all out after such an occurence I think it's safe to say that Ahmed's not getting voted back in though, hahaha!   Top

I think this episode was just as good as the premiere. The fight was really good and I couldn't tell who was going to win until the final round. In the shots of Ishe, he looked so unconfident, but he dug down deep and found the will to win. I don't think I could bear watching Ahmed if he had actually won the fight. I think being called out may have really gotten into the heads of all the losers from the East (especially in Manfredo's case, I think it really surprised and rattled him; not so sure about Reid or Khaddour). The reward for winning the challenge seems even bigger than the already large significance I gave it before.   Top

He must suffer alot of discrimination due to his religion and his nationality. (Would make most be very defensive.) Trying to fit in must be hard and his behavior does not help the situation. All the drama was caused by Ishe. He started the whole thing but Ahmed is stupider than a bag of rocks (understatement of the week) had he not bit and kept his mouth shut and just concentrated on Ahmed and not on Ishe, Ahmed might still be in this thing. When you fight with too much anger there is really no game plan, as we all witnessed tonite. I think the fight would of been alot better had these two pugs showed each other a little more respect. I saw the fight as stiff, sloppy and very wild. If you recall that vegaswriter dude told us Ishe was asking about Ahmed 1 year ago. So Ishe knew Ahmed from before the contender.
