I think Brian and Ted are likely to be pissed at Clay for voting outside the alliance.
Meanwhile, Krautboy writes:
Here is a direct transcript of the conversation among the Chewie 5 about
who to vote out in those few minutes between IC and TC last night.
Standing left to right are Helen, Brian, Clay, Ted, and Jan.
Helen: I think the snake has to go.
Brian: Yep. Me too.
Clay: Who?
Brian: The snake has to go.
Clay: Who? Jake?
Brian: Uh-huh. Number one.
(Helen holds up one finger and nods.)
Then we get an earlier confessional from Ted about wanting to vote Penny
out because she is sucking up to Brian and Clay.
Back to night. Ted is now standing next to Brian
Ted: Are you Ok with this or no?
At that point the conversation becomes unintelligible.
Jeff says:
I haven't seen this discussed, but perhaps I didn't look hard enough
and apologies if that's the case. At this point I'd like to suggest
that Clay has been set up, why now as opposed to episode 12, it sure
beats the hell out of me. However, perhaps there's another layer of
subterfuge and Clay being set-up is merely misdirection or some
other "dark" play as Jiffy would say. Perhaps the mafia or CIA
is involved...oops wrong conspiracy.
Going back to the transcript above, as they discuss tribal council,
Clay asks who they're voting out, "Who? Jake?", as if he was either
under the impression that Penny was going or had absolutely no idea
whose nickname was "the snake". Brian replies "uh-huh Number one".
I propose that the phrase "number one" refers to Penny (1cent) and
Helen's digit flip reinforces this to everyone but Clay.
Ted and Brian's later exchange on whether he's ok with this
is not about changing his vote from Jake to Penny. I claim
they were ALWAYS going to vote for Penny and that Jan and Ted have
not swayed Brian and Helen. I believe this discussion is more
related to whether Ted and Brian are cool with the idea of setting
up Clay at Tribal Council. It doesn't make sense that they would
"send Clay a message", I suspect more that Ted and Brian are gaining
Jan and Helen's trust, leading them to believe they will vote off
Clay (after Jake's Pagong) when in fact the three of them are just
putting on a play. (The play's the thing.)
Of course this flies in the face of my earlier assumption that
Brian and Helen were the true alliance (hidden, although alluded to
through the mediation of the Ted/Ghandia drama and Helen's voting
with the guys and most of North America to oust Ghandia.) Also,
if it came down to Jan and Helen, why would the three amigos not
vote out the stronger Helen?
And of course will the three amigos be torn apart when
Mark Burnett comes up with his latest challenge:
Jiffy: For immunity we're going to test how well your body
produces estrogen....
