For the first time ever I thought Andrew should have stayed. It's not his fault that Ralph picked something that needed to be cooked a certain way. Andrew did try to offer suggestions but that didn't work. He's right, it's like it's turned into "Ralph's Kitchen"... Ralph is getting on my nerves.I agree with others that sometimes you can be shown something and still can't make it as good as the creator of the dish. Also, some people are better at things than others. There are several polish dishes that I learned how to cook from my mom and then my sister when she died that have been passed down from generation to generation. Sure, I could pass the recipes on to a friend, but odds are they aren't going to do as good a job as me. Likewise, a friend of mine is Armenian (sp?) and makes some of the most amazing dishes when we get together. I would not have the first idea how to make them correctly even if I had the recipe.
All of the above leads me to the conclusion that Ralph needed to go. Not just for that reason, but what he did to Jessica was unbelievable after she stood up for him. Ralph is a jerk.
On to Michael. I like him the most but at the same time he's really getting sneaky. Lord knows he did sabotage Jessica with the filet and all. Now, if I were eating in a fine restarant, I would NOT want someone like him cooking my food though. I could be very wrong for this, but all those tatoos make him look "unclean" in a way. Am I the only one who feels that way? It's not that I'm against tatoos, but his really look disgusting...
Elsie is also driving me crazy. If I heard her talk about that paella again I was going to barf. I mean, my family all loves my mom's polish gulumpki, but that's not something I would serve in a restaurant. It's an aquired taste...
