The first major signings are on the verge of breaking into whatever headlines they can grab, which makes this a good time to start the scorecard on who winds up where. For starters, the never-named sources claim we have the initial big splash days to hours away, made by the Marlins, who are going to sign --*sigh* -- Jose Reyes. Six years, $102m, an option for a seventh. (Hanley Ramirez is equally sourced to be moving to third base.) And they're going after Pujols next. There will now be a brief pause while I write off the local 2012 season. ...well, that was quick. 
The Mets will sign no one. As is 'No players, no payroll, forfeit 162 games, make a profit, repeat.'
