Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."
But he actually said he wouldn't date her if she was 100 lbs overweight, meaning that even her awesome personality wouldn't make up for her being grossly overweight. This is different than saying he was only attracted to her looks.
What he's saying is that he wants it all - good looks AND a dynamite personality. I don't think there is anything wrong with this at all. It's FAR more honest than Larissa is being. It shows he's a) in tune with what he wants; b) willing to express it.
