I don't know that I agree that Boston is "one of the most hypocritical teams out there", but there's no question that they were hypocrites in complaining so much about the apparently career-ending concussions to Savard but then defending Chara.
Paille got a four-game suspension, same as Rome -- and both were too lenient. But here's what the Bruins' Andrew Ference said about it, according to ESPN.com:
“It’s a bad hit, right? That’s what they’re trying to get rid of and you can’t be hypocritical about it when it happens to you and say it’s fine when your teammate does it.”
