"Josh the king maker" |
I'm sorry, but watching Josh run around on the live feeds ever since Gerry won HoH has been funny as hell -- if I'm not careful, I might actually start liking this guy.Josh seems to have anointed himself Gerry's "representative" -- he's basking in the glow of it all. Earlier in the evening, Josh asked Gerry "just between us" he's going, "is it the girls like I said?" Gerry told him Lisa is definitely up, but he decide yet between Eric or Chiara. Of course within hours Josh is telling this info to Eric and Roddy (independently) and presenting himself as being in a position to steer and direct Gerry. When hearing that LISA might be up on the block, Eric doesn't hestitate ONE SECOND to say "if Lisa has to go, then she has to go." Real loyalty there. Eric also comes after Josh and says that frankly he's not sure where Josh's loyalties lie, that Josh has been making deals quite a bit, but they work it out with Josh explaining that he didn't make permanent alliances with anyone other than Eric and Roddy. Josh talked with Roddy and is trying to get Roddy to beg for Josh's help in convincing Gerry not to put Roddy up, but Roddy isn't having any part of it. Josh reveals to Roddy that apparently he and Gerry have cut a 2 week mutual non-aggression pact -- they won't put each other up for two weeks and basically just babbles on to Roddy about how he's trying to go to bat for Roddy with Gerry, but it's going to be tough, blah, blah, and how whoever wins next week, even if they put Gerry up Josh can't vote for him. Roddy just listens quietly with little comment. Then, after Roddy has apparently tired of this crap, they have a pissing contest over who's set themselves up better with Gerry, with Roddy bragging that he planned for this 10 days ago and Josh once again falling back "Roddy you are such a God, I worship at your feet" mode. One nugget though -- apparently Roddy and Josh both want "the kid" (Jason) up ASAP, apparently they are finally smartening up and starting to worry about him. I haven't watched the live feeds in probably over a week, but Josh definitely seems to be revelling in what he sees as his perceived (at least in his own eyes) position of power due to his relationship with Gerry. Of course, from what I can tell, Gerry is unaware of any of this... -SB
