If he sat out that one, they are actually losing out on his strength, just look at his chest... Anyway the Lotus IC in Episode 2, he was the one in the middle of the flower arranging the pieces, i mean he could have left it to Shii Ann(who sat out) or Stephanie(who was sick) or even Penny. It doesnt require a hunky strong guy to arrange the petals doesn't it? I think if he had swam in place of Penny, SJ would have thrashed CG... Anyway Ken is my pick... Hope he goes all the way, haven't seen much of him yet... Hopefully is because he gets lotsa footage in the upcoming episodes...   Top

If in fact the "Gauntlet on the Water" challenge is the reward challenge as speculated, then I think the previews have exaggerated the "fight" between the players, including the shot of Robb "choking" Clay. It's been speculated on other boards that Robb choking Clay is a rules violation sufficient to get Robb booted (no harming other players allowed per CBS rules). However, if the "fight" were as heavy duty as portrayed in the preview, why in the world would they use Robb in the next challenge? I think the "fight" preview is overblown and not much will come of it.   Top

"RE: New Episode 3 Vidcaps (as of 9/27)" looks like ken right before the shii/ted rumble and which person in 5-7 corcam? there's 6 of em from left to right, it looks like Robb, Jed, Steph, Erin or Penny (my guess is erin, because the jair looks short), Jake, Shii (i think jed is in white and steph in orange at any rate. the orange one looks kind of like jed too, but i think he's in white, and the facial outline in orange looks a bit like stephanie)   Top

In the following shot you can see what looks like a boat,out in the water (in the upper right corner). JP and "the Captain" have stood upon a boat before to judge each tribes "S.O.S." challenge. Unlike past "S.O.S." challenges where the tribes have had to use whatever they can. It would seem this time they are given the materials needed to win this challenge. MB has in the past saved the "S.O.S." Challenge for the underdog tribe. Giving them a last hope win, at the last moment. Keeping that in mind ChuayGahn seems to be a lock for this challenge, especially if they do get to use other items to adorn their structure, say, John's huge Christian Flag. But alas no pictures from CG and this challenge.   Top

"Immunity Challenge Speculation" LAST EDITED ON 09-30-02 AT 10:30 PM (EST) Tribephyl I noticed something, and I figured I would speculate on it.... okay look at the vidcap you put up and then there is this other one, now it appears to me not to be a boat out in the water but maybe something they either made or is given to them for an "sos" immunity challenge.... the bottoms of these (rafts?) look both to be around a purpleish color, and they both look like they could also be shaped into a paramid... Now in the vidcap you put up by the See-BS eye it appears to be a hand waving about more than likely In this callenge Ken and what appears to be Stephanie are sitting out (we know they participate in the RC)... which would make 6 to compete against the other team The SOS challenge would explain my previous thought on why ShiiAnn is wearing a hat and why those white lines are on the ground in the second vidcap edited to add, in past SOS immunity challenges wasn't the immunity idol dropped by Probst be it by plane or boat into the water for the castaways (lol) to come and get.... so if it is true then why is the immunity idol sitting on SookJai's beach.   Top

Absolutely, they were dropped by boat or by plane. That was my intent with my original post. But I ended up just being wordy. so if it is true then why is the immunity idol sitting on SookJai's beach. Looks a little big to me. but it could be a close up. So hard to tell when you judge them from stills versus running footage. I'm wondering if SB can cap these for a clearer look-see. Until we can witness the promo on TV, it would help.   Top

"RE: Immunity Challenge Speculation" hey looked like a hand to me Is it Chewing Gums beach that is rock?? and Sook Jai's beach that is sand?? I was wondering about this b/c ir seems that an SOS signal would be better on sand than on rock.. Also adding it would be wonderful in one of these challenges to see a tribe light wood on fire in the SOS shape but I am not going to hold my breath on that one.   Top

I like all the new challenges so far. Much better than watching the same challenges played out with different people. According to SurvivorNews, it's not the SOS challenge. "RE: Tower of Hanoi Challenge" Some challenges would be good to repeat, such as the coconut challenge in S4 where they could remodify it, i like the challenge in S2, where they completed squares and jerri's dumb ass paved the way for keith to win immunity. The final 4 challenge where they tested how much the final 4 knew their tribemates was a good one.   Top

(hey, we've been stupider challenges -- they probably would decide volume by having them load something into the baskets and then either weight them or use the larger supply of baskets to more quickly be able to fill some container that serves as Part Two of the challenge) -SB   Top

You have to spilt your team in two...what do you want strong blockers or a strong relay team? We have Ted as a blocker and Clay on the relay team.... Makes you think on how you would split your team up... Look at what Blockers we have vs the relay team and who do you think will win. Would Clay get by anyone?   Top

(more to come)" With reference to the challenges, we got the rock em sock em beat em up Reward Challenge and and the platform puzzle challenge for IC. The RC challenge looks like each tribe trying to advance to the other side and the obstacles are the Survivors themselves. This could be anyone's game. Ted is a mountain, Brian looks like he threw Jed? off while Robb, well Robb..... The pic of Chewy looking excited could be a red herring so I am not taking that pic on blind faith The IC challenge where you see with the II picture, there are platforms if you look at the II pic; in doing searching, it is believed this is the Hanoi Puzzle. It is three pegs and different size discs to be put on the pegs. Basically, you can only move one disc at a time The goal is to move all the discs from the first peg to the third peg. This will take both thought and brawn as MB is showing us he wants this season. I actually would give the edge on this to Chewy and the reason being is the teamwork factor. The challenges have been won by Sucky but only by a hair but if you look at the teamwork factor, Chewy does better. They rowed as a unit better together, I think they did the blind challenge very well, Jake was smacking himself silly, despite their winning. Individually, the Sucky group end of clinching it and individually the Chewy tribe lose, i.e. GDiva in the puzzle and Jan in the Lotus flower. But this is a team IC and I think they will actually be more organized, plus Ted being a computer programer, Jan being an elementary school teacher, Helen with her military background may have a edge on the process of this puzzle   Top

It looks like you have to make it across a maze to another boat or platform, possibly grab a basket with the reward and return to the other boat with your team mates. Photo 1 shows everyone in "pregame" formation standing on the plattform we see in a long shot in photo 2. However, in photo 2, the game is in full swing. In fact, it looks like Ted and Clay (?) cross over, or race from their right to their left. Photo 5 looks like a closeup of photo 2, with JP in the middle and some of Chuay in the boat. On the plattform of photo 2, you see two team members from Sook sitting there, just to JP's left (or our right) looking like they have NOT raced yet, however on the Chuay side, it looks like everyone has gone and the last two are Ted and Clay (?). So, (A) is Chuay sounly beating Sook? and (B) when do they interface in this game, you know, for the choking?   Top

(more to come)" It looks to me like photo 3 is Clay "pushing" Stephane out of the way. If Robb is one of the two left to go on the platform and sees this, when it's his turn he seeks revenge. I think that they pick up their baskets on the one side and cross over to the other. If this is an RC (which is probally discussed on another thread) maybe they get whatever is inside the baskets if they win, and my guess after viewing these photos that Chewy wins...   Top
