Mrs. Pappy is the first one out. Leander gone--Sean's pal got the wild card and chose to eliminate L. Pal gone next. amaM (tha's mama backwards, LMAO) is out next. OMH! Robert's sister loses. Patrick and Kathy win. he gets to go ack to camp with them and spend the night.

Big honey comb pattern game board...Jiffy says "How would you like to make a call home?" Then he says psych! and puts the cell phone away. Then he brings out the actual family members/slash friends and they all shout hellos and encouragement to the tribe members... Then Jiffy says that the visitors will play the game! The players stand on the hexagonal tiles and turn them over looking for tiles that say 'vote off' or 'skip a turn' or they run out of tiles to step on... Paschals wife gets blocked out first... Jiffy still lets them have a quick hug, kiss, and a few words... Next its a vote... Sean's visiting friend, Daryl, has to pick someone to go... he picks Vee's husband. Vee and Hubby share a quick hug... everybody crying by this point. Daryl gets blocked out... Neleh's mom, Becky next to go <hugs/kisses> Neleh gives mom and old buff <no more soggy mints?> Diana, Rob's sister, goes next... big hugs again. General wipes a tear... Kathy's son wins... the vid cap was right: black t-shirt and khaki shorts. The reward is that Kathy's son is a 'member of tribe Soliantu' for one night... yay

*possibly get a parasitic infection.
*do half of the work around the camp.

In that scenario I'd put her chances of making the Final 2 at 50% or better -- 33% from her chances of winning immunity, plus at least another 17% because I don't think anyone can say for sure who either Sean and PAschal would prefer to face the jury with. Compared to the only 33% of making the Final 2 if she rides Neleh and PAschal into the Final 3, yes, her chances are better if she teams with Sean to vote out Neleh -- but there's a big if there, namely that she and Sean would be able to oust Neleh the tiebreaker. All told, I still think Kathy's best play is to ride Neleh and Paschal to the Final 3 and take her 33% chance of winning the final immunity -- after all, she's facing a weak 55 year old man and a 21 year old hyperactive girl -- neither one seems to be threat in a Final immunity endurance challenge (and remember who won the LAST endurance challenge.) -SB

.....if kathy and Robert had any sort of deal then you would've seen Robert vote for heleN tonight. The fact that he voted for Sean shows that nothing became of the convo tonight between him and Kathy. Therefore, nobody got stabbed in the back...plus his comments about not going up to anyone to try and make a deal is further evidence that there was no agreement between Robert and anyone for that matter.
Now the only question remains........did OFG change her vote at the last minute or did she stay in her seat aboard the heleN train crash?

The good news is that now you have your desire to forge ahead of me in Spoiler Island, maybe you will stop praying for my downfall every week. It hurts to be the object of such devout negative energy!  Yeah, I knew in my heart it was going to be Robert and I'm not just saying that. But there was a slim chance it would be more interesting, and I figured I'd rather take a small chance on being right about an interesting outcome than to be right about a boring outcome. I asked myself if I would be elated if I picked Robert and was right and the answer was no--points or no points. I must have been channeling my Irish grandmother who took me to the races once a week every summer and ALWAYS bet on the long shots, while she mocked me for betting the favorites even though they usually won... and paid a pittance. So Grandma, my voting trainwreck was in your honor! I am disappointed about tonight simply because it was SO dull of them to 1-2-3-4 the Rotu 4. Saw Burnett on Kilbourne last night talking about doing Survivor TEN. If he wants to get there he needs to do MORE to shake his game out of the rut, IMHO. From one prospective Pagonging to another, yawn.
And Kathy's son was really dull. Not at all entertaining.
A visiting pig would have been more animated than Pat.

Although we SAW a discussion between Kathy and Robert of booting Neleh, it is possible that we weren't shown that Kathy and Robert decided to vote for Sean instead. Therefore, Robert WOULD be upset at Kathy, hence his final words.However, it probably is true that nothing came of the deal.

LAST EDITED ON 05-09-02 AT 11:18 PM (EST)I think there's a much better chance of the Rotu Four voting for Sean or Vee if they are in a Final 2 with Kathy than there is of the Rotu Four voting for either Paschal or Neleh if they are in a Final 2 with Kathy. ....the bottom line is that Sean and Vee were clearly never part of Rotu. Any ill feeling that the Rotu Four have toward Sean and Vee are likely less than those they hold toward Neleh, PAschal... and KAthy herself. Therefore if Kathy goes into the Final 2 with either of Neleh or Paschal sh's pretty much leveled and neutralized the "revenge" motivation of the vote and forced the Rotu Four to decide on other factors, like who played the game the best, etc. -- and in that regard I think nearly everyone would have to agree that Kathy has played the game much better than either PAschal or Neleh -- and unlike Neleh or Paschall she did so without the benefit of ever having a partner. For someone who was universally expected to be the first person out of her tribe to make it this far you have to give them credit. -SB

volmel, I agree that of the players left in the game, Paschal is the one you don't want to stand up against. Everyone loves him and Zoe said he was their touchstone, the one they went to.Neleh, OTOH, is no Lis. Kathy could probably beat her on the merits of work ethic and deserving, BUT you always have to figure in possible grudges and envy. John and Zoe left the game before Neleh started irritating everyone. Every season these people amaze me at what stupid reasons they give for their votes. There really is no perfect foolproof way to approach this one. The only one who has not picked up a stigma of some sort is Paschal, as far as I can tell. Webby, I agree with you that Kathy could win the endurance challenge, but I'm not sure she's as confident as we are about what the final challenge will be. She didn't see the end of Survivor Africa. Fallen Comrades was the final IC of the last Survivor she saw, and I believe Paired Off was the penultimate IC, right? For all she knows there is no endurance challenge that she can bank on. The last two IC's in S2 called for mental sharpness and knowing the people well, and she admits to being deficient in both, so I'm thinking she's not liking her chances of depending on immunity wins. I noted Paschal talking about how well he's gotten to know everybody; he's a good bet for winning FC if he gets there. Kathy will not like the 33% odds and will look for an alliance strategy of some sort and there is NONE with N/P. I thought MAYBE she would realize that tonight, and try to get Neleh out, thus my vote. She did have the realization, and if Rob had won IC, that probably would have happened, but I guess she knew she was screwed if she went against P/N too early, unless Rob won immunity. Since the Rob vote was unanimous, there was probably conversation between the 5 who united against the Rotu 4 in which they agreed to honor the pact of going to 5 before they turned on each other. For all we know, Kathy did talk to Sean and Vee about the possible foursome, and they may not have been enthused. Maybe Sean thinks HE can ally with P/N and ditch Kathy; he seems to be griping next time at the assumption that he can't pick a white alliance because he's black. In any case, Kathy's final decision that it was Rob's turn was probably a rationalization she came to upon realizing she was not in a position to make any move this time without screwing herself with the jury. Also, Rob himself seemed pretty unenthusiastic about working the angles; he made the decision easy. One thing's for sure, our POV continues to make this the Kathy show. OTOH, S2 was the Colby show at the end, and he finished second... The end vote might actually be pretty interesting.

Neleh is not very well respected and there seems to be to much animosity towards her. Pappy on the other hand will have to face the music with John and the Rotu 4. Vee is Kathy's biggest threat in the final IC, Vee just one this past one, and was runner-up the past two weeks. She should stick with the two fake people that would carry her to victory.
