I realize that I was supposed to be afraid that Adam would leave but I was more worried about Kris. When they sent him back to safety first, I was so happy. I wasn't in the least bit worried. I think Danny got more votes than Adam last night and it made them nervous so they decided to pump up Adam's fans for next week. (I have not voted this year.)

If you can get on to VFTW forums, there are screen clips of another message board with alleged transcripts of Adam on the phone with some perfomers/friends from Upright Cabaret. It's all so third hand, who knows if any of its really true, but the transcript has Adam saying some very unflattering things about the judges critiques, Simon in particular. I can't imagine him being that careless, unless he wants out, but it's just quite a coincidence.

She had enough of one to make it half way through the finals. I'm not sure how much of that was because they loved Lil, or they just normally vote for the Diva. I think the vote for a Diva types probably went to Allison as the remaining girl more than switch to one of the guys.

Been thinking about Kris. His general lack of pimpage versus the amount that Matt got...and his success on AI to make it to the F4...wonder if the producers are taking notes and we will see other singer/songwriter types...but one will be their "chosen one" in a future season. America is telling the producers that there is a decent sized segment out there that likes the stripped down, guitar + singer music.It's a niche AI has yet to fill.

What i found hilarious last night is the same thing Ryan obviously found hilarious. As posted in my rankings thread, i said Simon was smoking something. Danny/Allison/Kris were the top three. Danny was the only one of those three w/ a positive Simon critique. Adam and Matt were in the bottom two. Simon said Matt did great, but no other judge did. OF course, everyone drooled over Adam. So what WAS Simon smoking Tuesday night? geekboy

So it sets it up perfectly for the b2/boot to be between Kris and Danny. Does the show care which one it is? Danny has gotten more judges' comments pimpage and Kris got a pimp spot one week. This is looking more like a producer agenda and it has played out just as they wanted. I'm guessing Allison for the pimp spot next week because they are that blatant. Kris already opened the show this week, so they will likely have Danny open the show next week--but I need to look at the boot rates by spot over the past 7 seasons before really committing to that idea. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I think Adam is the best contestant this season. As I said, I haven't watched in some weeks and Adam has gained noticeable weight. And I have read that AI pressured Jim Verraros not to come out. And I think that so many young girls vote that they would drop off if their fantasy boyfriend couldn't be their fantasy boyfriend. I think that was why Clay didn't want to come out. And when he did, many women were still very upset about it because they had their romantic fantasies about Clay. So I think that a similar phenomenon may have hit Adam. I still think he will probably win because Allison and Kris don't seem to have a real shot, and others have mentioned that Gokey would be Taylor #2. I am not straight myself, so I am certainly not casting aspersions. I have a lot of respect for Adam.
