"Vecepia" This is just totally going on the fact that I think Robert wins immunity again. He's the biggest and strongest guy left, and shouldn't have too much competition if the challenge is physical. Really, Sean is his only physical competition. But Robert's a$$ is on the line, so he will try the hardest and win the immunity challenge. Also it appears that the IC is a slingshot challenge of some sort. In the past this has been won by the bigger guys (Colby S2 and Tom S3). If Robert does indeed win immunity, then Vee would definitely be voted off. She has not made friendships/bonds/alliances with anyone other than Sean. She has totally isolated herself from the rest of the group. Have you heard her talk to anyone other than Sean? You know that Robert will vote for Vecepia, as he did last episode. Paschal won't vote for Neleh and vice versa, and Neleh will basically vote however Paschal votes. And Paschal won't vote for Sean after their reward challenge experience together. Paschal has nothing in common with Vecepia, he didn't even take her with him on the cruise ship last RC, and it was her birthday! This was because Paschal knew they wouldn't have a thing to talk about. Robert is of course my alternate, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he stays another week. !GO GENERAL! "Vecepia" There's not much to go on, but we'll never get anywhere if we don't assume things and I really like making out there picks. First of all for this to work, I'm making the assumption that Robert will win, as I don't believe the other five would want to make the game more difficult than it has to be at this point - although I could see Sean going for Robert's vote (in which case for this to work out, Robert would ~still~ have to win the IN and we'd have a 3-3 vote) For those who think MB is monitoring the "IC necklace in the vidcaps" discussions, you would also assume he's looked at the "Well, obviously the water is on the left on the way back" argument. Also notice that Vee has been getting severe facetime spikes for the past 2 weeks or so - which is usually the set up time for a boot (Zoe freaking came out of nowhere, I know ;) Her confessionals have mostly been "filler" and not really essential to the gameplay narration. Also to take Jeff's reasoning from above: "She has not made friendships/bonds/alliances with anyone other than Sean. She has totally isolated herself from the rest of the group." Yes, ~Sean~ has more "friends" than her ~because~ he's outgoing and speaks his mind. Whether or not Vee's grandmother died and she was told of this ~does~ affect her game even though there's no way she's allowed to go home (another assumption here)....This is a direct emotional advantage that others would have over her if she knows this. Imagine Jenna missing her kids and multiply that by 20 (especially if she was close to said grandmother) I also believe the wedding that took place on the 5th isn't telling us too much - there's been much spec on this: * She could have planned it long ago and decided not to change it regardless. * She could have been asked by MB to have it on the 5th to be used as misdirection. * She could have just wanted to do it now to get the free honeymoon vacation from Rosie (lol) * Etc....really, there's no way to know what's going on here. The CBS promo: "Don't miss the elimination vote!" I'm not sure why nobody brought this up here....unless the people at Fever and SS are insane (debatable ;) I believe we may have just missed this one. From me on the Vidcap thresd: "When this is said it doesn't always mean a huge surprise - ie. Someone breaks down emotionally but the vote is predictable; but notice it says to watch the ~vote~ this time, not that 'this is the most exciting ~Tribal Council~ ever'" Of course that could also mean - "watch out for the first deadlocked vote!" I've got two strong options for this week, and one I don't have time to work out, so I'm going with my Vee vote. There has been an unusual focus on Vee this week, but not in CBS related stuff. All this hoobaloo is making me think that something happens this week with Vee. Two options: 1) Vee is voted out 2) Vee wins immunity (Robert likely voted out) I dont' think Vee is that strong of a contender in any challenge, even the sling shot challenge. I think she'd do ok due to her outstanding military record (military service alone doesn't mean much, trust me, but her outstanding record does mean something), but the slingshot IC's are generally (no pun intended) won by strong men (Colby, Tom). So not any evidence for my vote, just going with Lex's gut this week.   Top

I appreciate you work. I also think V has a good chance of winning immunity, although I think she will only get the RC this time. I just have that feeling. I think Kathy will win immunity this time and the rest of them will vote Robert out for various reasons. Neleh will vote him out, because of his attitude, and the fact that he messed up her hair. Paschal will still vote with Neleh, although maybe not for that much longer. Sean and V will vote for Robert because he voted for her last time. He voted for John once because of many issues, but also because he dissed his man (Boston Rob), so now he will vote against Robert because he dissed his girl. Kathy will vote Robert out because she is a threat/power voter. Rob is a threat no matter what anyone says, because he just won one immunity and must be prevented from winning another and he is the remains of the old alliance. Oh well, I hope things are more interesting than this predictable vote, but I have a feeling even if the vot is predictable, the rest of the episode will make up for that. Instead we have an overload of "heleH is getting voted out" hype which unfortunately some of our more impressionable posters have actually fallen for. How many times are you going to let Burn-it bite you in the ass before you stop falling for this crap? No real detailed explanation is needed since this one is sooo obvious and others before me have already done a good job laying out the reasoning. As for the RC, I'll go with Kathy and her kid....IC, give me Vee under the theory that the challenge winner is always pictured either during the competition itself or with the necklace around his/her neck.   Top

The last 4 days have TC's and will be hectic. If Neleh is to see turtles with John, she needs to go now. Neleh hosted the Rotu reunion recently (that Rob didn't attend), so she is still popular, often a sign of more jury time. -Tammy comment on Neleh echoes Gina on Rob Paraphrase: yes, it was stupid/annoying to offer a pre-sucked mint to six starving people, but Neleh is still in the game and I'm not. This is much like what Gina said about Rob, who was booted directly afterwards... and looks like an attempt to play down Neleh's imminent danger. Tammy makes no effort to misdirect us that she's rooting for her friend Rob (as Tricia did for Hunter), so maybe he squeaks by and outlasts his allies. Edit to correct promo word from "now" to "Paschal": -Neleh in promo says "there's no way I would give up Paschal." Something weird is going on or she wouldn't be talking about that eventuality. She sounds like SHE has the power of choice and is strong, so she may be going down. Numbers are down, misery up, Rob keeps camp going -Physical hardship in camp this episode may make them realize they NEED hard-working Rob. All these comments about how they can hardly hold on, yet Rob is still working hard. Yes he is an IC threat, but if they keep kicking off everyone with strength they will have to carry their cold wet famished asses in stretchers to the Final TC. Providing starts to be of most value in endgame. -Endgame strategy Robert no longer has a firm ally. He's now a useful swing vote for whichever pair in the Final 5 pact thinks they are going to lose Kathy's vote and that pair should recruit him NOW. It's quite possible P/N recruit Rob to vote against Vee. Last week it looks like T/R hoped Vee would get votes, but there was no way the savvy players would miss a chance to oust Tammy. With Tammy gone, P/N may be ready to break up S/V and use the excuse that she's slacking, despondent, whatever. In that case, Kathy would have to commit to S/V if she wants to save the pair that will server her best to get to endgame. Of course S/V want to break up P and N; the question is if they think they can wait until next episode. IF they get the feeling that Vee is a target and not Rob, they will start thinking they are being tricked into voting Rob when Vee is the target and will have to shift strategy. There are various scenarios, one of which is that Kathy starts feeling vulnerable again, possibly after winning RC. In the shot of them all walking, we see P/N, S/V, K/R. Is she keeping him company out of kindness because he is doomed and an outsider (like her), or getting closer to him? Whatever the scenario, ANY major shift in alliances may cause them to abandon the Pagonging and choose to target a bigger threat. In addition, Robert could win IC. -Promo on elimination vote. Maybe it's not misdirection and the vote is at least not 5-1. That would really break the STOOPID blatant lying meter, for no good reason, to drqw viewer attention to the vote if it will be 5-1. There may actually be a tie. However, unless Rob wins IC, he could still be the boot. In the end I am going with the jury time as my strongest argument to pick Neleh. For the same reason I am not following Kokoro's very good argument for Vee because of the reticence interviewees have shown in commenting on Vee, which may point towards a strong finish. Double misdirection in weeks where the boot follows directly from a major story line in previous episode that cannot be ignored/edited out. IF in fact Neleh blew it with her post-cruise behavior and was next to go, then her boot is obvious. The best way to scare the spoilers away from that pick is to put out a blatant promo saying the princess is a target. See Spoilers run like hell from the misdirection... Story line Burnett needed to harshen Neleh's image rather than soften her prior to boot because she is America's sweetheart this time. He may have learned by now that viewers want to like the winners, not hate them for booting the sweet girl. Last episode's editing was perfect to get people cheering when Neleh's torch gets snuffed, rather than booing and hissing at those who send her packing--who will ultimately win the game. Alternates: Robert, Neleh goes next time. Motto: Vote late and verbosely. No one will read your post, so if you're wrong you draw less attention to yourself.   Top

There are spoilers out there for the reward challenge and they point to either Neleh, Sean or Kathy winning the RC. Now if Robert wins IC than who seems the most likely to go? I would say Vee. I think Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal are aligned. Sean or Vee would be their targets and I just see Robert siding with the old Rotu's over Sean and Vee. So I see a 4-2 vote unless even Sean goes with them because he might decide (rightly so) that Vee is going to vote how Vee wants and I think he may get frustrated because Vee would not join him with Tammy and Robert to vote out Neleh last week. I just recently found out about that neato Snickers contest and have been smacking my head about it, I could have had a lot of snickers during the past episodes! I pick Robert because, well, he is the last of the Rotu4, and he is a big immunity threat. Not to mention voting against Vecepia, and straying far from the group. If I was Vecepia, and Robert voted for me, I would not just grab him and vote along with him, I wouldnt trust him again. Now this may also because Neleh is my favorite and I'm hoping like Elisabeth, she stays until the final 4. But she is different from Lis, and is playing this game very good, while still holding up her sweet girl image. I think MB had noone else to misdirect us in the last episode besides Neleh, so he squeezed every bit of bad remark and negative lighting on her as much. Nothing else. ANd with her "young princess" target on her this week, I doubt they would give away the boot. Robert has been totally missing from every promo & ad. I really hope Neleh stays atleast until Sean is out. She has been playing the game, and unlike Lis and Jenna and Kim.. whoever the young one was, her strategy has been more public and available to the viewers. The rest of the "american sweethearts" have always been portrayed young, innocent, and sweet. Occasional perks here and there, but nothing else. But Neleh has been very strategic and more public than the rest of her counterparts. I think this is some sort of sign she will not end up like them. Or maybe she will be different and get voted out earlier. lets hope not. If the Slingshot challenge is correct, I dont see any way Robert winning it. Unless they just totally go blank and start shooting eachothers target instead.. .yeah.. right. BUT what is so special about the vote off that has all the previews telling us to watch? It is not like voting off Robert would be a shock to ANYONE. The regular viewer or the spoiler fanatics are expecting this. Perhaps with all of the misdirection pointed Neleh's way there are a few people who would think she is next, but honestly even the fan polls are saying Robert this week on a week we are told that something shocking happens. Now you can argue misdirection all you want, and from that perspective I can look at OFG's reasoning above to say that yes they may be pushing us in the right direction this time instead of the usual wrong direction... but something tells me that there is something unusual about this TC enough that either a Robert or a Neleh vote would not be unexpected or shocking. I then look at the emotional toll aspect of the thing that has been hyped up. Who has shown herself to be the weak emotional wreak? Vee. I don't know how it goes down for sure, but I would not be shocked if Vee breaks down and asked to be voted off tonight.
