"The Family Factor"
I don't recall any reality show giving the contestants access to their families during their time on the show... or showing us that side of the contestants. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

This is one of the great things about the show for me. You get an inside look at the people behind the man.

I love that we get to see the spouses and especially the kids. Last night I was constanly going "awwwww!" at some of those priceless moments that the boxers were sharing with their kids.

My favorite part was when Jonathan was praying with his little boy and the boy had his eyes shut so tight. He was adorable!

One rant though, what was up with that froo-froo dress and the white tux that Jesse's kids were wearing? I've never seen that kind of attire at a boxing match. It was a little overkill.

I watched episode 2 again last night as it was aired on CNBC. I had no idea that all the families of the Contenders were flown out to Los Angeles. Is this right? Then how come I seen Jonathan at his pad? I am confused.

And yes I agree with you on the fact that Jesses family was dressed more for a wedding than a boxing match.

Them country folk

The bottom of the screen says something like, "Reid Family - Contender Housing".

As far as I know, the families are brought to LA. I think they each have different types of housing depending on the size of the family and that's why "The Reid House" looked so big. I'm sure he was not sent back to Tennessee before the fight.

Yes, all the families were flown out to LA for the show and given "contender" housing in the LA area.

That alone is probably what made this the most expensive reality show ever.

Well that and hiring Sly Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard.
