10. "The Reward..." |
Sean and Pappy get a helicopter tour of the island and are dropped off on top of a mountain. Two Marquesan men approach on horse back and Pappy and Sean mount up... Sean doesn't like it at first then settles down and starts rapping...They are welcomed at the village and Sean says this is better than Gilligan's Island. Pappy and Saen settle down in some bamboo lawn chairs and get 'lei-ed'. The have some bonding time. They get up and take there big coconut drinks over to the barbeque pit where the watch the giant pig into the pit. They sitdown at a big green table, say grace, and tuck in to a BIG feast. Pig... fish... fruit... and then come the dancing girls! Meanwhile back at the camp the Soliantus are choking down the usual crap... cutting back to Sean and Pappy with the sound of a huge burp. They are stealing food to take back to Soliantu. The weight of the food makes Pappy look like he had a 'load in his drawers' when he was up dancing. Sean says goodbye to 'his brothers'... big hugs all around. Tears for Pappy and Sean... evidentally the Marquesan people are damn good hosts. They fly back in by helicopter... more hugs and kisses... and they are tres impressed with the stolen food. Sean quote '... the best victories are the ones you can share...'.

Well, there goes all that pressure about having picked right every week. It sucks to be wrong, but it's kind of a relief, as maybe Shakes will envy someone else on Spoiler Island now, like the mysterious mlipton, zeako, and Shakes' mamma... Damn that John for misleading me. I guess Zoe's just a Biatch in his book and everybody's and even jury time doesn't redeem her. Zoe the enigma, farewell! I wonder how those calendar sales will be going now! Hey, can we all say Episode 9, Brandon/Zoe, has become the official turncoat episode? It wasn't that unpredictable...
Talk about symbolic promo caps--Zoe trying to keep her balance on stilts... perfect for trying to straddle two groups in this game and losing both of them.

As for Bigmamma, she had Robert as well so there's another perfect record ruined so you have company OFG. At least we can take solace in that NOBODY called this boot correctly. Sure, some people picked Zzzzz, but not a single person on this board had teh correct logic to back up the pick and that's only worth half credit in my book.

WHERE WAS KATHY THIS WEEK!?!?!? She was barely shown! All the hoopla earlier has been dissolved and she is now totally UTR! Zoe was invisible as well (except at the beginning) so I was surprised that she was ousted. But all the talk about Rob...I guess it was inevitable.

Sean said his vote was strategy, the question is whose strategy, his or, maybe, Kathy's? And EPM deliberately doesn't show what happens to hide what's going on and thereby engineers the hyped "unpredictable" result. Opening shots are very important to overall theme and direction in movies...I suspect that opening shot at the waterfall, with Kathy the only one directly under the falls, was very deliberately chosen and edited. I obviously buy into the water=power theory. Thoughts? Edited to note I just remembered that Sean narrated the opening scene from a position next to, but not under the falls, with Kathy in the background under the water. Are these the two powers now? And if so, can they be long for this game? Hmmmm...

Based on what Neleh, had said;
since they couldn't vote for Tammy, who is still target #1--unless she manages to pull off a series of Kelly Wiggleworths;they, K/N/P/S/V diliked Robert the most, (even more than Tammy), but saw Zoe as a greater immunity threat. I think N/P were far more offended by T/R insulting atempts to manipulate them, than Zoe's necklaces. Zoe was voted out, becasue she was part of the evil ex-Rotu gang of 4, and the 2nd strongest immunity threat. The only people who had a major problem eith her kiss-@$$ behaviour, was T/R. The others just weren't buying into it.
