Corvis 3130 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Car Show Celebrity" 02-24-09, 09:40 AM (EST) "Song spoilers - group 2" LAST EDITED ON 02-24-09 AT 09:28 AM (EST) From MJ's Blog (I love that blog): Clues: * Nick Mitchell - This “salty” standard has been featured in film and covered numerous times, most notably in the 80s. * Adam Lambert - One singer of each gender has had a version of this wistful ballad reach the Billboard top 10. * Jasmine Murray - Madonna had a hit with a different song with the same title as the recent hit that Jasmine is singing. My guess for Nick's song is Margaritaville. Others have said Crying. Any thoughts on the others? One is for sure: Matt Giraud: Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”   Top

It is VERY current though, which is always a risk... Adam - all i picture is him doing another ballad by a female. Not a favorite of mine. Nick - what needs to be said. Will it be Nick or 'Norman'? Will it be Nick or 'Norman'? How long will this joke go on? If he had any brain power, he would come out as Nick and just sing for us. IF this truly is a joke, he'll camp it up again. I respectfully disagree, geekboy. I love Nick AND Norman. Part of me agrees that he should just sing as Nick. He's got a pretty decent voice, but he doesn't have the best American Idol voice. There are much better singers than Nick. That's where his "Norman" personality comes into play. I find it incredibly entertaining and I love watching him perform. I hope this guy's exposure on AI gets him some sort of break in the entertainment industry. I'd pay to go see his show. a berry nice sigpic from agman   Top

"RE: Song spoilers - group 2" The way I am looking at Norman is he has to be able to sing well, too. If he can do that and he adds his funny stuff in, then I could see supporting him. It's kind of like past idols who have added their own musical take to a song. Normans' own take is to add humor.   Top

"RE: Song spoilers - group 2" LAST EDITED ON 02-24-09 AT 11:24 AM (EST) Thanks grit, I love Normund, now if I could just sway you on GoAway I actually think that he will make it thru as next top vote getter (I think Adam Lambert or Matt will win the votes with Jasmine probably as top woman). VFTW will most likely pick Normund. Plus there is alot of buzz about him and it's not negative like Tatiana (who will def sing on March 5 WC nite and hopefully will make it thru bc it will be a 6-3 male/female split after the 3 weeks of voting). From my review of some sites...it looks like it's "Puttin on the Ritz" it's "salty" you know. So I think it's a good bet that Normund is showing up... BTW Blake use Puttin on the Ritz in his debut album   Top
