Thanks, Snidget, for all you do! These threads are so fun to read, especially when travelling/missing the show. Thank you for being the thread host extraordinare!And so for tonight, a fajita bar, with the special recipe grilled flank steak, multigrain tortillas, some guac and all the fixings (onions, peppers, tomatos, corn salsa, lettuce, etc). Cold Coronas with limes. I just need to step out and get some chips and salsa to go with everything. Hope I made enough!

OK, he sounds good. His eye are mostly open, though still squinting too much. He doesn't have as good a command of his upper range yet...it sounds a little flat - not tonally, just less resonant.Good energy, he stepped that up. He's still nowhere near as commanding as DC. And while Cookie may look tense, Archie looks terrified. Yikes. Randy's BS is back. Not that it wasn't good, but sheesh. Take a cold shower dude. (now just bring DC back please)

It doesn't matter what happens, you gotta know one thing that was one of the best performances of the season you picked the right time to peak, crazy vocals. Paula has chills. The sun is never going to go down on you, you bring out so much sunshine through your singing. That was a beautiful stunning performance. Simon. Very easy to get over-excited tonight. Last week you were OK, tonight was arguably the best you've done so far. Hold on, taking everything into account, Round 1 to Archuleta.

Interesting that they won't end the show with the coronation song which has happened the last few seasons. I can recall Jordin, Taylor, Carrie, Fantasia ending with their coronation songs.Guess they learned from earlier seasons to let them select one that suits them. DC: Randy: beginning of round 2...singing face off...hitting notes...nice, nice Paula...song in your heart guitar in your hand...blah blah ... fall in love with it Simon: bit of a lightweight...supposed to be a winning song and did not feel like a winning moment. (Gag....AI...stop with the song contest. Is it worth the few thou you make from the entry fees?) I guess we are not going to get the acapella song I was hoping for this season...from DC. Gee, he picks the ballady thing.Reminds me of Calypso by John Denver with the swayiness of it.
Melisma all over the place. Randy. Once again the song I wasn't crazy about it. You are so in the zone and you could sing the phone book. Paula. Another heart felt performance, doesn't matter what you sing, why you are in the spot you we in. Simon, loves the egotistical lyric. Chose the better song, Round 2 goes to Archie. The judges are playing the drinking game...they have to be, he should have sung the phone book it would have been better than that dreck.

And he didn't do anything new or interesting with it. Cookie picked the better song, and made it sound like a pop hit instead of a Christian Pop hit. Shut up Randy. Just. Shut. Up. I disagree with Simon -- that wasn't the better song. AND WHAT??!! Round two to DA too? I'm confused, and grumpy.

Why doesn't DC just get up and sing "I don't want to be your puppet"?This song imo is not well known. I liked it, though, but I could not sing it after hearing it. Simon looks odd. DC tears... Glad Randy let DC bask in the applause for a bit (like he has DA for a lot of the season). Randy...nice, sensitive side of DC...mentions Collective Soul....this is the kind of record you could make...very nice, very nice Paula...I looked at you on the stage standing in your truth and you are delivering unbelievable songs with integrity and originality and I applaud you. Simon....I'll say publically....you are the nicest most sincere blah blah blah...beautiful song but completely and utterly wrong song choice for you....should have sung BJ or Hello. Wrong song for competition. DC to Simon: this whole thing is a progression why do something I have already done (a dig at DA?). I understand what you are saying tho.
(I just want to say that if Michael Johns were in the finale he would have killed it but it seems that DC is being somewhat Michael - like tonight by not playing the AI game their way and doing it his way. Simon's frustrated face says it all, lol.)

hmmm...love the, well, everything. He looks great, sounds yummy, excellent song choice, and the king of the build is about to expolde, right? Wow. I'm surprised he didn't go huge, but that's ok, because it was ABSOFRAKKINGLY BEAUTIFUL. BEAUTIFUL.Archie hasn't even heard of half the emotions that DC puts into his performance. BEAUTIFUL! (now poor Archie's going to follow that with a reprise?) I disagree with Simon's comment about doing a reprise, but did he sound a little choked up? And - I may be nuts - but I think Simon had shed a tear - check out under his eyes while he's talking.

OK, I know this is widely considered to be Archie's "moment" of the season...but I hated this the first time, and I'm hating it this time too.DO NOT mess with the melody on this song boy! Didn't they slam someone for messing with "Imagine" in a past season? Blake maybe? But yet they loved Archie's noodling on this. I still hate it. Don't hate the kid, but I hate this performance. I'm SOOO very disappointed to be hearing all this Archie pimping! I really had hoped the tide had changed, or at least slowed down. SIMON!! Please!! Give me some Cook love! DANG IT!

Yeah, what's up with that? He goes on Ellen and says that DC will win.Did they do that so DA fans will go to bed and not stay up to vote? I swore off voting after MJ got booted off. Not buying into the voting anymore. Producer discretion and all that. Did ALW help DA more than DC this week? It seemed like ALW was mentoring DA. Oh well. I have been losing interest ever since MJ was booted. Trying to remember he'll sing something in a group number tomorrow night--so maybe I'll hear a line or two. I'm confused and a little bit disgusted. I thought they both performed well and the blatent pimp of Archie was over-the-top. He didn't score a knock-out by a long shot and David Cook has way more star appeal. They were pretty equal so why did they throw their weight behind Archie? Simon's comments were especially whacked - they sounded more scripted than usual to me. Pissed me off enough so that this cougar is dialing her fingers off too!
