"It's Kind of like a Train Wreck"
First, I'll admit I'm hooked on this show. I stumbled over it one day when I was lying on my sofa, sick, and watching something particularly mind-numbing on Fox. I don't usually like reality tv - matter of fact, I usually HATE it. So when I saw this show come on, I reached for the remote to see what else was on. Must have been fate, 'cuz nothing else that was even remotely watchable was on. So here I am, a month later, hooked on this train wreck of a reality show.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm the sort of person who doesn't particularly relish the thought of having my every thought, word and movement recorded for the viewing pleasure of many millions of Americans (like me!). My thoughts, the first time I saw Nyanza, were that she was going to cringe with embarrassment when she viewed the series after she graduated. What a bombastic, self-centered, ME ME ME ME ME ME ME IT'SALLABOUTME! b*tch. And she was 'graduated' without changing a bit. I agree with the person who thinks that the LC's found it easier to politely graduate her than to make her leave the house. What a disaster that would have been. You can bet she'd have been out badmouthing the show, suing everyone she could, and taking out full-page newspaper ads to draw as much attention away from the show and toward herself as she could. She simply doesn't get it.

I feel the same embarrassment about Christine with her relationship with Charlie. Good god, the two may as well just lie down on the restaurant table and have sex. I feel like a voyeur watching those portions of each recent episode, and it makes ME cringe, and I'm not the subject being filmed!!

With Lori, I want to ask the ventriloquist to take his hand out from under her shirt in an effort to help her to enunciate just a little less firmly. Until today I wasn't sure why Lori was there. After finding out that she lost her husband after only a few months of marriage, I can pretty much understand why she seems like such an emotional basket case. I still wish she would use a bit less lip when she talks. It's just plain weird - even opera divas don't use THAT much lip.

I just want to smack Andy. And smack her and smack her and smack her. Has anyone noticed lately that she's been acting like a life coach herself, with regard to Christine? It's a weird role-reversal and I found it strangely satisfying that the episode tomorrow has her on the verge of exhaustion. Maybe if she stuck to her own growth instead of attending to everyone else's, she wouldn't be so tired? I dunno - just my opinion.

Cassie? Hmm. I don't want to be a naysayer and I don't like to be negative, so I'm just going to reserve my comments with regard to her schooling. I was glad, however, to see today that she got accepted to DePaul. I hope she does well, and I'm going to reserve commentary on her for a bit. She's very young, after all, and let's face it - at 20, weren't we all just a bit "not quite with it?"

I'm still trying to figure out if Kimberlyn is going to do anything other than learn to drive. BAsed on her lifeplan, that's ALL she's there to do. Huh? She needs a nationally-viewed network tv reality show to give her the impetus necessary to learn to DRIVE??? Give me a break. There's something that she's not telling the network, the life coaches, herself, and anyone else. It'll be interesting to see it all laid out as the show progresses.

And what's her name - the latest addition. Shoot, I can't remember her name, but I sure can remember that $44,000 of debt! She's got a lot of pay-per-views to sacrifice to pay THAT bill.

Oops - there's my phone gotta run - probably a good thing, since I'm running on at the mouth.
