I know some people will sway towards Cook because of the "rocker" aspect, but those here at work are saying they're taking up my cause and becoming a Castronaut. Alot of peeps here don't like Cook. I have had formal training in music and have a very good ear. Jason can't sing his way out of a paper bag. His version of over the rainbow, with the ukelele, reminded me of Tiny Tim. The only difference between Jason and TT, is that TT had a higher-pitched voice, a long nose and stringy hair; Jason has dreadlocks and a wussy voice. Is Jason trying to be a singing "Captain Jack Sparrow"? (with apologies to Mr. Depp). I truly can't understand what the judges are hearing... must be something different than what is coming through my home theater!   Top

But why did the surprise boot have to be Michael this week? Too soon! I've hated the AI voting system since I first started watching it, though. You'd think they would have tweaked it since the AI "winners" usually fizzle. I wish they would just pick a bottom 3 of the night and let voters choose between the three who they want to save and only allow a few votes per phone. I haven't been blown away by any of his top24-on performances. I simply don't understand his appeal. Kristy, on the other hand, has shown some growth. I actually thought his performacne was good, but maybe that's because I like the song he sang. He was one of the more talented contestants, but it never fully came through in his performances - kind of like Carly (though moreso in her case). I'm not too upset, bc I don't think he stood a chance of making it to the end.   Top
