It's that magical time again, kiddies! First off, kudos to all of you. I'll be damned if I can find a single rules violation. Okay, I could probably find one if I pored over every single post, but that just ain't gonna happen. Last week's thread, at a cursory glance, looks clean as a whistle. Second, a big thank you to Kokoro and GuessItRains for jumping in with vote totals when they were long overdue with no Blue Men in sight. Thanks!Okay, on to the rules. The usual: THE RULES 1. Please put the name of your choice for this week's bootee IN THE SUBJECT HEADING! Simply replace the section of your post that reads: "Re:SurvivorBlows Tribe, It's Time to Vote!" with your pick. 2. Reply ONLY to this post! Do not reply to the last post on this thread. Do not reply to any other post on this thread. After reading these rules on THIS post click on the "reply" button in the bottom right of THIS POST ONLY. 3. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD! DO NOT TREAT IT AS SUCH! When you make your post, feel free to give your reasoning and your theories in the message portion. BUT, for further discussion of said theories, take it outside. Next we have: THE STRONGLY WORDED SUGGESTIONS 1. If you read the summary and didn't get a chance to thank the writer, now would be a great time to do so. This week's summary writer was FesterFan1. Thanks, Fester! Your menoxydil shipment is on its way! 2. Taunt previous violators of the rules at will upon their first violation. Whee! This really doesn't apply this week! Finally, something new: The meek request: Everybody on Off-Topic probably knows about it by now, but... the folks who bring you the vote thread every week also run a writing site that was recently named one of Yahoo's Picks of the Day. If you love us (and you know you do), go check it out. Just click on the link at the bottom of this post (after you vote, of course). Thanks! (And sorry for getting all off-topic on ya; we're just a little excited this week.) Click the link! We were Yahoo's Site of the Day! Whoo! Criminals From the Neck Up

LAST EDITED ON 04-02-02 AT 08:23 PM (EST)I hope I'm wrong, because it would be a shame for her to go with her lucky streak going the way it is, but... One of the things we paid attention to before Gabe's ouster was the accidental slip-up from his mom, when she said Gabe came home and talked non-stop about Gina. This indicated a Gabe or Gina boot coming soon, which we now know, of course, was Gabe going first. Now that he's gone, the only way he and Gina could get to know each other is at the Loser's Lodge since they'd be the last couple of pre-jury bootees housed away from the jury. Alternate pic - Sean (*Gets out pom-poms and does The Official Fester Cheer!*) Fester Fester, he's our man! If he can't do it, no one can!!! YAAAAAAYYY, Fester!!! **************************************** Visit BlossomArt's Ebay Page! "This is a check made out to you, the Beatles, for $3,000 - you divide it up any way you want. I always thought it would be fun to post a first vote. Hope no one slips one in while I'm typing...Unless we get some more info between now and Thursday this is all I can come up with… “Strategies Revealed Don’t Succeed” From CBS: One castaway encourages the tribe to throw the immunity challenge. The question is, will they? This strategy has been hyped too much. If the Rotu had actually succeeded in throwing the challenge, we would not been surprised by it during the show. Rotu does not throw the challenge. Maraamu goes to TC. From Zap2it: “…Rob vows to take control of the situation and sets his sights on booting Rotu's self-proclaimed leader.” Rob’s plan is just an idea at this point and becomes moot when the Rotu win the IC. “…Gina hopes old tribe loyalties are beginning to dissolve after the old Rotu members (Kathy, Neleh and Paschal) are shocked to see that their former tribe voted out Gabriel at the last tribal council.” Gina hopes the loyalties are beginning to dissolve, but they aren’t quite dissolved by the time Maraamu goes to TC. Paschal was “bitterly disappointed” that the Rotu betrayed one of their own and voted off Gabe. With the merge coming up next week, there is no reason for Paschal /Neleh to betray one of their own now. As Paschal’s wife said, “ He played with integrity”. Paschal remains loyal to Kathy, and Gina’s hoping will not be enough to save her. “The Underdogs”
Rob, Sean and Vee are the underdogs, outnumbered and vulnerable. The viewing public loves to cheer for the underdogs, especially as John the new villan and “self-proclaimed leader” takes charge. The idead of throwing the challenge is discussed, but “The Underdogs” survive and make it to the merge, when the Maraamu lose the IC and must go to Tribal Council. Gabe’s Interview:
In Shake’s Thread: http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID2/2509.shtml …Gabe says that he would've been a threat to John after the merge and that this was John's LAST CHANCE to get rid of him. Indicates that Rotu wins the rest of the pre-merge IC's, and that John makes the merge. Maraamu goes to TC. Rob’s plan to boot John does not have time to develop. OFG Theory
Gina is shown in the Previews in the Maraamu group shot, and framed in the picture with Kathy, looking in opposite directions. Rob is featured as the target, at odds with John; Gina is not. Gina fits the profile of the OFG Theory. CBS Website Misdirection
“Interesting Stats: Before being voted off the island in Episode 5, Gabe plunged from 33% to 13% in the Sole Survivor poll. Gina is now the Survivor most favored to win.” CBS frequently uses their website to direct the viewing public away from the weeks boot victim. Gina “favored to win”? Not this week! Weight Loss Theory:
Gina has had no weight loss reports and no other spoilers indicating she sticks around any longer. Character Redemption
After spending the first 4 Episodes at odds with her tribe, last week Gina finally felt like she was part of a tribe. Her character was softened, the tribe was shown praying together, she won her first challenge and Gina was finally content. She’s had her redemption and is now ready to go. Gina’s Friends
We have spoilers that suggest Gina spent time at the Lodge where she got to know Gabe and continued to develop a relationship with Hunter. In order for these to make sense she would have to be a pre-jury bootee: EP6 or EP7. Since the merge occurs at EP7 (as per CBS) Since she does not fit the profile of a post-merge first boot, Gina must go in EP6. Looking at all the evidence together, Gina appears to be leaving this week.
Thanks for the fine work Fester!!

i'm really torn though. I was completely expecting to put Gina's name down, but I'm not so sure.I think the throwing of the challenge might be a red herring, but in the opposite way we expect- the expected answer is NO, and added to that the fact we've already expected a thrown challenge having seen Silas' demise last season and Kathy's belief that Rotu would throw one, and the fact that it hasn't yet happened, i think we may be supposed to believe that it won't. Therefore a YES answer would be the bigger shocker Then there's the fact that Gina has not been previewed in the Eyemail yet, and that the Robfather promos are being recycled this week, I think Rob's time may be limited I wouldn't be surprised either way, Rob or Gina. I'm practically 50-50 on this vote

no Rob, no Gina, no ROB, NO GINAI think Gina is going this week. I really want to watch the door hit the Robfather in the ass, but I agree there has been too much speculation that they are going to throw the challenge and that menas they won't/won't be able to. The arguments for Paschal are interesting but I came back to the fact that Kathy is thinking ahead and pissing off any Rotu would mean less support when they all get together. Besides Hunter is lonely and needs some play.

This week I see two obvious bootees, one from both of the teams, so it'll come down to who will win the IC. We don't know how the IC will be, but we know that someone wants to throw the challenge for his tribe. It's save to say that John will contemplate the idea, but I think that Rob might be trying to make the same move as well. According to the network update some old Maraamu set their sights on reorganizing the loyalties of orginal Rotu tribe. Zap2It goes as far as telling us that Rob sets his sight on booting Rotu's selfproclaimed leader, obviously John. In order for Rob to be able to boot John Rotu has to go to the TC. And even if it would be risky for Rob to go to the TC just now, it's even riskier for him to expect till the possible merge in the next episode, because John is a possible individual IC threat and might get some backup votes after the merge. So Rob could risk and try to convince some old Rotu to defect... But as we do know the strategies revealed won't usually work. The problem with Rob's "excellent" planning is that his old Maraamu allies, who will be partecipating the IC (while Rob might not), are much more concerned about saving their own butts than saving Rob's butt. I think that at least Vee sees that none of the old Rotu is that eager to defect, at this point, either. So I don't think they will be as eager to throw the challenge as Rob. The fact that Rob's plans to throw a challenge will fail doesn't necessarely mean that someone other's plans will too. I actually think that John's plans might be successful, for a time being. And if the IC will be a trivia challenge, it's not too far fetched to say that Maraamu might win even without any help from Rotu. So I do see Rotu going to the TC and voting Rob out 6-1, as Sean and Vee try to set themselves in the position of breaking the shaky old Rotu voting alliance after the merge.

I was going to vote for Rob, as I'm a big believer in the EyeMail spoiler. After some discussion, there will likely be one more bootee who is not featured in EyeMail. I think it may be our Gina this week. 1. Survivor poll misdirection: now Gina favored to win 2. Gabe's comment on John's last chance: Maraamu goes to TC 2 more times 3. Believe Kathy holds out a bit more from the weak spoiler, so Gina is the only next logical on that tribe. Yada yada yada... And congrats to the Criminals for their feature on Yahoo Picks!

I believe there is too much emphasis on Rotu throwing the IC. So in fact I believe Rotu wins the IC and Maraamu goes to TC. And it makes the most sense that they would boot Gina. Then Gina gets to spend romantic time with Hunter and get to know Gabe well enough that he will gush on and on about her to his mother.

I think that they are playing up this Robfather angle way too much for him to be gone this episode. I think that we are going to see him SOMEHOW get John picked off. I really believe that Gina is not going to go anytime soon. I think that Gabe's mom's comment about Gina are like Carl's comment about Teresa in S3...a misdirection. Teresa was listed among Diane's friends and Carl said that he shared close quarters with her on the safari. MB planted Gabe's mom's statements just like he planted the Teresa statements. In addition, remember the show stopped taping in Dec. Hunter and Gina have had PLENTY of time to develop a relationship since the show ended. She did not immediately move to CA in Dec instead it has only been recently. If they had been together in the bootee lodge she probably would have moved sooner. Finally, Gabe's statement about last week being John's last opportunity to vote out Gabe. The reason...because John was booted this week. MB said that there is a villian this time around. I think it is Robfather. Robfather manipulates other people in the tribe, perhaps Zoe or Tammy to vote against John. Last, MB doesn't seem to be as circumspect this go around. He is showing the dynamics and stratagies straight out. John has been shown so much that people are going to expect that he is the next to go.

LAST EDITED ON 04-03-02 AT 07:43 PM (EST)Okay I'm following a wacky theory (hey, we're all entitled to at least one per season ;) Without going too into it, my targets this episode are: Paschal/Neleh/John/Tammy/Rob. I've eliminated Tammy as she's still scenery. On Rotu officially I went with Rob since the only way John is going is if he tries another wacky maneuver. Now since I do not think Rob and Gina are on the jury because of other certain "spoilers", I'm also taking out Neleh and Paschal (not that either of them need much more development - if N/P went I wouldn't be too surprised) - of course I could be totally wrong so of course my alternate is the lovely Gina ^-^;; Yay Fester! I spy with my little eye a rules violation....;) ---------------------------------------- Now let us never speak of S3 again. Gabriel: "Alright, John go straight! Straight!" - Um, Gabe? OFG Theory: change-up: Rob is playing the game, anything he does will point toward him anyway, so he is the exception to the misdirection rule just like Jerri, Linda, Frank which happens when MB really has no choice.Eyemail: MB/CBS may have one more nonprofile bootie left, but I will be surprised if they waste that this early in the season. They have surprised me before, of course. Gabe Chats: I really have a hard time giving any weight to what this guy says since he's in a world of his own. Paschal's Shirt: frame-by-frame analysis of the video showed me that the black shirt reflect blue lighting, this was on the cuff even, and I doubt if MB would have had the cuff digitally colored to match when he could have just as easily not used the shot at all. John Going Round the Bend: He's an idiot, make that a paranoid idiot, but the other three in his alliance seem dependable (though hidden) so I expect they will keep him from losing the game for all of them. Alternate Pick: Gina (Gabe's Mom) FesterFan1, that was a KILLER SUMMARY! Everyone should check out the Criminals site shamelessly promoted in the top post, there really is a wondrous collection of inventive material there to enjoy.

LAST EDITED ON 04-04-02 AT 10:09 AM (EST)A Maraamu IC loss seems likely. Neleh: safe, her story is not told. Paschal: safe, well liked by all 3 women; he's there to play the game & his career is making dispassionate decisions--he won't sacrifice himself. Kathy: safe, Paschal likes her, she's playing the game better now, P knows she would stick with them at merge whereas Gina is more of a wild card. She said Rob & Sean were so terrible, but then why did Rotu vote out Gabe if they were so bad? Lingering doubts that Gina is playing them & will rebond with ex-Mara. Gina, boot. (See also Krautboy's reasoning.) Edited because I forgot to thank Fester (again) for his wonderful summary. Also, I fogot to congratulate Sherpa & Superman for their 15 minutes of fame on Yahoo. Seriously guys, what a wonderful compliment to your creativity & hard work. Congratulations! Swami

I was going to say Rob, but my roommate saw the Robfather preview and said there was no way they were going to vote him out after devoting a whole preview to him. He suggested that at this point they're using Rob to draw people in, and I have to agree with him that they probably wouldn't do that if he was going this episode. I know that the repeat of that preview has been used to argue that his storyline is played out, but I'm just not sure that's the case. And after the Sean-Gabe spoiler proved itself half right, I'm inclined to think Sean lasts a while too. Which, frankly, really sucks. Because those two blights on the face of humanity deserve to be axed before pretty much before anyone else on the island right now (including the residents of Loser Lodge). So I'm going to have to go with Gina, which sucks as well, because under different circs I think that she probably would have lasted until well after the merge.A very hopeful alternate is Rob, but I just don't think it's going to happen this week, so that's mostly wishful thinking. Thanks for the excellent summary, Fester!

It may sound strange but... if Kathy wants to get further in the game, she teams w/ Gina to vote off the weakest member of Moomoo. Paschal and Neleh vote Gina, Kathy & Gina vote Neleh, Gina wins a tie-breaker, Kathy/Gina then have the upper had to get Paschal next week and can join either side in the merge.

1. Gabe's Mom 2. Hunter romance 3. Pagong Factor 4 IC is not "thrown" by Rotu. 5. Her story is complete. 6. Gabe's interview comments. 7. Episode title.Individually, these could be argued as weak reasons, but together, they make a strong case. Nobody else has this much stacked against them. RC- (maraamu)I am thinking more and more that Maraamu wins. The shocked Kathy pic looks to be post challenge. (wet hair, clothing) And Neleh and Gina are smiling. Added to that, Paschals comment at the end, and you have a happy group. Plus, it also fits the episode title, as M is clearly physically outmatched by Rotu. I get the feeling that Rotu does something wrong, and Maraamu may win by default somehow, thus the happy surprised looks. WHAT! We Won! WooHoooooo! It would also fit with the controversy promo.
IC-(rotu) The real controversy will be Zoe approaching John to throw IC, in order to boot Rob. Ain't gonna happen. He promised Rob. Rob will collect on John's debt. (ala Godfather) But John's refusal to do so, will come back to haunt him soon. No clue about what the challenge actually is. The fact that it's been completely hidden, makes me believe that Rotu does not throw the challenge. It could be a trivia type challenge, but I don't see why MB would want to have the challenge favor Maraamu at this point. Rob makes for much better TV, so why help them give him the boot? I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but this stuff was enough to convince me. If Pappy falls on his sword, and asks to be booted, I am gonna puke. Two quitters in a row! ACK, that would really suck. true

I think Neleh and Pappy are probably more tired of her by now than of Gina. I don't think they worry about Gina staying loyal to the former Maraamu's post-merge because she's told them how much she disliked her former tribe. I'd bet too that Neleh and Pappy would rather see Gina win the million than Kathy in the event it's not one of them- another good reason to get rid of Kathy now.

KRAUTBOY gives the reasons to vote for GINA in his vote message.I'll add these comments: "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." -- Sherlock Holmes, in A. Conan Doyle's A Scandal In Bohemia. I pronounce myself guilty of transgressing Holmes' advice. I have thought it was GINA since voting for GABE last week. Of course, if we voted GABE last time *because* he was mesmerized by GINA, then it makes *NO* sense to change horses amidstream now. And I have seen nothing so far that has caused me to change my mind. I have that "hollow" feeling about the whole ROB/JOHN stuff. OFG Theory gave me pause to consider PASCHAL. He's shown in the previews prominently, but not negatively. A GINA/KATHY alliance makes sense. However, there is *no* other spoiler information to support a PASCHAL boot. And as I discussed in this thread, it looks like GABE does *not* see PASCHAL at Loser Lodge. Also, GABE mentions PASCHAL but does not mention GINA! Shades of PATRICIA claiming to not know any Rotus? So I concluded that the PASCHAL preview is a red herring OR a set up for the future OR innocuous and designed to tug at our heart strings. Alternate: THE ROBFODDER. FESTER, come on in to Summary Lodge. After DABO beats you down silly at the new Curling Rink, come on in, gather with us around the fire, take the light bulb out of your mouth, sip your favorite beverage, and chat with us about your outstanding summary. *** Contradictions don't exist. Because it makes sense to me, although my gut says I'm wrong and it's Gina. Yet I can't make myself vote for Gina, so I'm stuck. I agree it's Gina or Rob, with Paschal a possibility due to editing focus.Promo focus on Rotu The main reason I pick Rob tonight is the Rotu promo focus and that Mara CAN win a quiz (and it's time for one). I do believe the promos are more straightforward this season than the misdirection favored in S3, because S3 made the viewers unhappy, and that led to change. Some teaser could have been put together that gets the public thinking about Mara dynamics if they were going to TC. At least one promo says someone DOES try to throw the IC and the new Sneak Peek email from Survivor says tonight's show is shocking and controversial. Although that may refer to RC, a rule infraction, the word controversial appeared in a promo about throwing IC. One thing seems certain--Mara can't be penalized for Rotu attempting or succeeding in throwing IC. Rotu would still have to go make the hike to TC. Rob takes on John, per promo Why does Rob need to rock the boat and struggle for leadership at Rotu if they win IC? Why not ride the wave to the merge and then start maneuvering? His Hunter boot confessional showed him keenly aware that the leader has a big bootprint on his forehead, so why wouldn't he be sitting back and letting John piss everyone off--unless they have to go to TC and Rob is FORCED to go looking to swing a vote? Gina needs to go be with Hunter, but Ep 7 works too I have no trouble with Gina going in Ep 7, because people will be struggling to juggle old and new relationships, and Gina's a "safe" boot. No one owes her anything, whereas John has promises out to Sean and Vee, and may not want to cut ties to the returning Rotu immediately. NO ONE has to show their alliance hand by voting for Gina at the merge. Spoilers indicate Sean and Vee last awhile If Rob goes now, Vee and Sean have a better chance of surviving the merge, IMO, because they will not stand out as a 3-person power group with a leader when the merge happens. They will be free to link up with John's team and their loyalties won't be suspect, as they will be a remnant with no ties to the incoming Mara/Rotu. If the three Maras are still a voting bloc, all of Rotu is more likely to band together and eliminate the threat systematically, yet it appears the boots go elsewhere for awhile. Patricia likes Hunter, Gina, Sarah, AND Rob, but is disappointed in Vee If Vee and Sean were instrumental in Tricia's friend Gina's POST-MERGE (Ep 7) boot, but Rob was not, that would help explain why Tricia has a problem with Vee's "spiritual" persona because Vee once again doesn't side with the "good" person who was on her original tribe--instead sticking with loozer Sean. Vee may have a choice to make in Ep 7 that won't exist if Gina goes tonight. Story arc Rob's real power as Robfadder ends tonight, last episode before the merge. He holds no sway over any of the original Rotu. That said, Gina's probably a gimme, as Krautboy says. So long perfect vote record...

First of all, we are shown that one tribe (Rotu) wants to throw a challenge... in other words... they WON'T.If they want to THROW a challenge, it means they are confident they can win it, meaning that they won the RC, resuming their winning streak after a temporary setback. With Maraamu going to TC, the original Rotu will not split up, despite editing to suggest that Paschal has had it with old Rotu, due to Gabe's premature boot... thus, it is Gina that will be booted. I think it is a case of misdirection.Everything points to Rob in the clips. And I think Sean is just as vocal as Rob but in a different way. I think Rob although he appears to be confrontational is really still playing the game. It is just the one quote, "Do you think I have stupid writtn on my forehead?". Sean probably gets vocal too. The difference is I think Rob is still playing the game and trying to fit in more. Sean will just say stuff and not care to get voted off. It's one of those focus on someone for a few episodes like they are getting booted than switch and make it look like they are not but in reality they are getting booted now tricks. I don't buy the loser lounge spoilers about Gina either. They have proven to not work in the past. Plus, why couldn't Gina get to know Hunter and even Gabe after the show is completed. It can happen. See ya, Sean!

Psychodoc says I just can't see Maraamu winning another challenge without another act of "god", and I don't think "god" would be so blatant as to intervene back-to-back.Muahahahaha ... EPM failing to be blatant ? I beg to differ. He will do anything he pleases to manipulate his little toys. I guess you don't remember how indignant folks are every time he changes the rules. How about not only using SOS as the immunity challenge, but putting the boat much closer to the second tribe. (He's actually quite amusing if you don't take this game too seriously.) I believe another trip to tribal council by the cow voices would just be too boring. The Tofu's have to go again. We need tension! We need controversy! And EPM will do something outrageous to ensure that Tofu goes to TC. So if the Tofu cluster (calling them a tribe is much too kind) is going to tribal council ... oh bah. There is no reason to think about logic here. I'll just fall back on what EPM is telegraphing. For the very first time ever he is recycling a commercial. Simone, that Rob preview is a leftover from last week. Yes folks, the Robfather commercial has been running virtually unchanged for a week and a half. Have you seen this happen before? I haven't. I have to believe if Rob's were a story that was destined to continue EPM would be investing in new, more tantalizing, commercials. He's just getting that last bit of mileage out of this preview. 60 Pixel Series, No. 2

Too many spoilers point her way. Plus, I don't think that the Robfather's storyline has been milked to full advantage yet. I actually am getting a bit of a Rich vibe from how they are editing Rob (for those of you who were involved in the spoiling on S1, remember how much everyone hated Rich, and how the editing lead us to believe he was the next one to go almost every single week? Not to say that I actually think Rob can win this thing, but I think he hangs around a lot longer). Gina's story is done.

I would really hate it for Gina to go this early when there's several more deserving bootees, but the numbers just doesn't add up for Gina. She's out-numbered 3-1 in NewMaraamu, Rotu's simply too strong with a physical challenge and any mental challenge would go in Rotu's favour as well, IMO. There's the rumour that Gina and Gabe got to know each other well as well as Gina supposedly moving in with Hunter -- sure they've had time to get to know each other after getting home from the Marquesas, but moving in together so soon? Nahh, they'll get the extra time in Loser Lodge. Rob's a little over-hyped for my liking and that, combined with the spoiler that he's in St. Louis at the moment, makes him more safe this week in my eyes. Sean's story is done, but he's been almost invisible in the previews and in the last episode, so I think he's safe. Prince John isn't done yet, Tammy/Robert/Zoe/Vecepia are too UTR to get booted now, Pappy/Neleh would be more apt to stick with Kathy than to keep Gina over their original tribemate -- and I don't believe totally in the Pappy black/blue shirt rumour so he's probably safer than Gina. Ciao Gina. Pappy's my back-up pick in NewMaraamu while I don't see Rotu losing (but if they do, I'll go with Rob).

LAST EDITED ON 04-04-02 AT 06:55 PM (EST)IMHO, although not respected in some threads: 1. The challenge we have shots of is the IC, NOT the RC. 2. The RC will probably be the quiz/trivia contest between the two teams. No exciting action = no preview shots. 3. Paschal's story HAS NOT been played out yet. He may be upset because Gabe is gone, they were close friends, and possibly in an alliance, but just because he got switched to Moomoo, brought an American flag, and feels close to Neleh does NOT tell his story. Also, losing a tribemate you are close to is no reason to sacrifice yourself. When Rodger left S2, it was going to be either him or Elizabeth anyway, and he felt Elizabeth needed the money for family medical needs. 4. I think Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal WILL stick together, having all come from Rotu, with the idea that they will re-allign with the other Rotu's at the merge. Actually I think they will only look forward to re-alligning with Zoe, since Robert, Tammy, and John had their own alliance to begin with. 5. Zoe joined John's alliance only because she and Gabe were in the minority at Rotu (with Paschal and Neleh at MooMoo). After Gabe made it clear he was not playing the game, trying to defend him would have led to her ouster. 6. Gabe's "I'm not playing the game. I'm only here for the experience" strategy is the STUPIDEST thing since Sean's alphabet strategy in S1. Blue Edited to add: Thanks Fester. Great Job!

because of Pakooga's planespotting ...usually at this point I like to lay out all my reasons for my pick, but anyone who's been spoiling this season knows by heart the many reasons why Gina is gone this week.
Briefly, **There is a mountain of spoiler info that points to her leaving now, most notably the Wanda speculation + Gabe's mom. **Various Gaybe interviews hint at Rotu winning the rest of the pre-merge IC's. **The CBS red herrings....if Rotu was going to throw the challenge we wouldn't know about it until it happened. I've been pretty convinced for a while that the next two boots are Gina and Rob, but up until today I wasn't sure which way I was gonna go with that. The hockey game sightings sealed the deal for me...if Rob was going tonight he would've been in New York by the latest, early this afternoon. There's way too much media whoring to do in the next 24 hours for MB to chance it and allow a bootee to fly halfway across the country at the last minute.
I think Rotu wins the RC based on the somber mood at Maramu the night of the RC (where Pappy is broken up about Gaybe), although I am a little nervous about a possible Rotu disqualification based on "spilt second timing" and "controversy".

Last minute change. Too much spoiler info even though I liked my theories. I guess I was resisting the simple boring Gina ouster while my gut was saying, yep, that's what happens.Guess it was time for a misdirection week to hide the obvious, because there will be drama in Rotu, so Mara could be downplayed because people don't want to tune in and see these four lovey-dovey players cut down to a pitiful threesome. Maybe Probst catches the attempt to throw IC and takes John out and sends in someone who will try to win. It's not as if they don't have cameramen reporting back that there's a plan to throw the thing. Alternate, Robfather, who else?
