I wish him the best, as I'm sure many of us do. I just don't understand why so many people put a person in that position, then don't carry him/her where they need to go to continue in that fame. But it just goes to show you that the greatest majority of those voting are the under 16 group who are NOT going to be spending the money on CD's or concert tickets. I sure hope Taylor and/or Jordan don't end up in the same boat.   Top

"RE: Ruben Studdard" I'm sad to hear it, but someone had to be the first idol dropped by a label. He had a number of albums and I dunno that just because you win American Idol you should get a contract for life when no one else in the music industry gets that. After all the history of pop music is littered with one hit wonders or those that made a couple of albums and then got dropped. Sure a few groups break up and other things like that happen, but the one or two decent selling albums and out seems to be the more common path than having a contract for decades like a few singers and groups have been able to do. If he's up for it I'm sure he can get picked up by another label and keep going, but he may have made all the music he is good for.   Top

I vaguely remember 1 or 2 songs, but that was about it.(I'm sure there were more, I just don't recall them) I'm sorry to hear this but I think it would be extremely tough to make it in this business.
