For the most part, I agree with you Dawg.Ralphie: His 5 minutes was the best - he really had the house jumping and him being first made it tough on the rest of the comics. I wonder though if his bit being political in nature may alienate some voters. Also, I'm not sure I would enjoy an hour long set from Ralphie - you can only shout so long.
Dat: I think tonight he was exposed for not having enough experience and material. Not a bad bit but not as good as the last two weeks.
Tess: She seemed really nervous to me. I felt like it took her 2 or 3 minutes to get relaxed and by then she was already too far behind the other comics.
Rich: I thought his bit was good, not great. To me his act is too New York and I don't think it will translate well across the country. I thought he looked nervous too.
Cory: I think of all the comics, I would enjoy seeing her doing a one hour set the most. I felt like she was barely warmed up when her time ended. Having said that, I think she was only 2nd best on the night. And what was with the make-up? She looked better without it - I found it distracting.
The part that really bothered me is that they are having a 2 hour show NEXT week. Why not have it this week? We could have had each comic do a 10-15 minute set! What are they going to show for two hours next week? Just tune it at 10:55 for the final vote count.
This has been a good show and I hope we get a sequel next summer.
"How fascinating for you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm due to make a deposit at the local savings and litter box."
