I'm with the disappointed group. Before the show I thought Ralphie was the funniest and that Dat had earned his way into the top 3. Ralphie was not as funny tonight. He had me laughing a few times, but did seem a little off and seemed to take a calculated gamble on the War angle. Not bad, but didn't live up to my expectations (which were very high) based on his earlier performances.
Dat came back to earth. I originally thought he didn't have enough material, then he had a great performance with little planning time against Geoff. But after tonight it now looks like the second performance needed to be his final act. So I think their choosing him to go up a second time actually did make him use up his best material. He still has great potential, but didn't think he deserved to win last night.
By that point I was so disappointed I had lost my excitement. Tess was nothing special to me. Made me laugh a few times, but also seemed a little off. I get the feeling (may be wrong) that Tess thought early on in the competition that she could win, but then got intimated by how well Dat did (and Ralphie) in the head to heads, and started doubting whether she could win toward the end.
Rich was pretty funny as well, but seemed nervous.
Cory is pretty consistent. Usually funny, but not hilarious and never weak.
I'm not compelled to vote for any of them, but if I had to vote I'd go with Ralphie based on the entire series. The question for me is whether I'll get the motivation to watch it again and see if my opinions change.
I also think that if Dave had survived and gone last (after the performances we saw in final) he just may have won.
