I expect the mention of these issues to be an indication that they are going to likely be a factor in tonight's storyline -- therefore as of 8:05PM it looks better for Kathy bootee believers than for Patty folks.  -SB

Next morning at Mara they are all kidding around and having a good time. Hunter is giving a fake radio weather report for happiness cove. They are singing and dancing. Hunter is saying there are alot of contributors. He says Momma who you would expect to be the weakest probably does the most. Gina says that after not getting voted off Momma (Patricia) has changed and is being herself and working hard and pitching in.

At Rotu John says he wants to be the provider and be at the top of the tribe. He finds some kind of crab and is excited. But the others say they need more. Then Kathy gets excited and finds a pool of small shellfish. There are alot of them and it means protein. But John says Kathy is very abrasive and he is unhappy she found the food and not him. They are calling it a seafood buffet. Kathy says now she feels she should be safe and not voted off for finding food. But she complains to the camera that nobody thanked her and said "way to go". She says she is not that hard to get along with.

Back at Mara Patricia is building the rocks around the firepit. Then her and Hunter go off to work some more. Sean and Vee seem a little fed up with Patricia telling them what to do. Sean said him and Vee are bonding. Meanwhile Patricia is talking about her tool tree. Sean and Vee are sitting talking while the other 5 are playing in the water.

John is secretly resentful of Kathy since he had maanged to capture a single shrimp (I think Gabe and Tammy were heard walking away and saying "30 more and we have a meal") and thought he was The Man. Kathy is resentful that no one tells her "good job." Says she's not that difficult to get along with (sure...) The Rotu fools decide to smash the shellfish LIVE into rocks and eat the oozing stuff raw. In the process I think they loose half of it. ...hasn't one of these folks ever heard of BOILING seafood and then cracking the shell? -SB

At Rotu they build a snare to catch a pig. But the pig sets off the trap and gets away. Then Kathy tells the others she needs to have a meeting. She tells them the shelter isn't good enough. Tammy is not happy with Kathy treating them like kids. Gabe is questioning Kathy about what she wants. Kathy is defensive that everyone asks her why she is acting like she is. She gets all teary-eyed again. They decide to make the shelter bigger and put up Paschel's flag and have a special moment. Now Kathy can have room to sleep in the shelter instead of outside alone.

RC is starting. Rotu sits out Robert. (Probably cause he's been sick) They each have a sunken fishing boat with about 250 rocks in it. They have to empty boat to bring it up It is tethered to an inner tube. One person dives down at a time while others wait at tube. They are playing for diving mask and fins. They all go down when they are trying to bring the boat up. Both boats are now up and they are paddling to shore. Rotu wins!

- Sean (because he's lazy) In the meantime every shot of Rotu seems to be about how Kathy doesn't fit in. This seems to be classic Burnett misdirection -- first get folks to think Kathy is going, then get them wondering which of the many Maraamu folks is going to be booted when they lose. -SB

I've been thinking about this as well Dawg.Given the fact that Burnett has done NOTHING in Rotu for the first two episodes other than develop the "everyone hates Kathy" storyline, you have to wonder how he is going to be able to keep any suspense over who Rotu will boot first. ...the only answer I've been able to come up with for this is a possible switch in early Ep3 -- in that case then it's possible the tribal dynamics might completely change and Kathy could join with some MAraamu refugees to save themselves. Is it a longshot, yes, but otherwise I'm trying to figure out where the Rotu editing is going... the only other thing I'm thinking is maybe Maraamu loses the first four challenges. -SB

They have made a deal. Gina is sticking with Hunter. Next week it shows Sarah and Hunter arguing. And at Rotu there is alot of pain. People are hurt and screaming about bites or something.

Sean's ally, Vecepia, the only one exposed to it so far, got catty with it in confessional, called him Malcolm Farakan. Ya gotta love it. Sean ain't kissin' butt, though, got to respect that.
