"Country Night?" |
Do you think there will be a Country Night this season? Suppose, through some technical glitch, last night's votes were disqualified, all eight get to compete again next week, and it's Country Night, how do you think they'll perform. Will Haley wear Daisy Dukes and her red and white checked shirt-tails tied right under her mostly bared boobs? Doing "ride-my-cowboy" motions while moaning the most sexually innuendo-ed song she can find? I think Blake, Chris and Phil will dress Western and do some pretty decent Country renditions. I don't know what Jordin will sing. But, I think she'll wear a cute outfit. And, sing her best. Lakisha and Melinda? I don't know. And, Sanjaya? How do you think he'd handle Country?

One season they had a voting glitch. They re-ran the performance show (or re did it live, I can't remember) in the next nights results time slot. People voted on that night, and those votes determined who would be eliminated and they pre-empted something so there would be an elimination on Thursday night.

I heard Martina McBride is appearing on Country night. In the past they at least had one "country" idol~ KiKi singing Country is a scary thought for me.

Whatever he "attempts" to sing, I suspect he'll have his hair gelled back into a mullet.

Next week's theme is country and Martina McBride is the guest coach. Here is the thread with the season's guest coach and theme list:http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID44/2264.shtml Chris R and Haley seemed suited for country. Blake has been adaptable. I think even Sanj could adapt. Maybe he will have a five o'clock shadow to go with his mustache from this week. I could see Phil deliver a ballad type of country song.
I think Lakisha will struggle the most with the country theme. She looks so uncomfortable out of her diva zone. Melinda can roll with the theme and could be very cute in her outfit as well. I can see Jordin doing an upbeat country song.

The divas could pick a Patsy Cline ballad, just as long as they don't murder it a la Kellie Pickler.

As long as they stick to the more 'ballad-like' songs, they should be fine. If they jump out of their comfort zones to do something like 'It's a Great Day to be Alive', they'll bomb flat!Chris R already has that rockayodle thing going on, which drives me insane!! I hope he can utilize it for good this week, and do some justice to it! He needs a good old Hank Williams, "I'm So Lonesome", and Jordin-I think she could do Patsy Cline a good one. Lakisha is falling flat lately. Take her out of Mowtown/Diva-land, and she is just another black singer in the choir. No offense meant, but that's just it for me. And her clothes are getting worse and worse-who dresses these people, anyway?? Hopefully, Blake won't do any beat-boxing so as not to offend any of Nashville, who WILL, BTW, bring their shot guns and hound dogs! I think he could do well with just about anything that he puts his mind to-fast or slow. Maybe a good Garth Brooks, "I've Got Friends in Low Places"??? Phil really should do something like "I'm Already There" or "Just Another Day in Paradise"-good song for America's Family Man!! Melinda-that's a tough one. She's adapted well to the genres so far, and I don't see it being a problem this time, either. She's in a class all her own. Can't think of a song for her, off the top of my head, though... Jordin will do well, too. As I said before, Patsy Cline, Patty Loveless, even Reba would be good for her. I wish them all well. I am a Country lover-watch Nashville Stars, and loved it! It's not my first genre of choice, but it's America's music, and what I was raised on, so I do enjoy it. I just hope they can bring it this week!!

LAST EDITED ON 04-13-07 AT 04:38 PM (EST) > >Lakisha is falling flat lately. > And, her chest, which is far from flat, is falling out > >And >her clothes are getting worse >and worse-who dresses these people, >anyway?? > I think she's the culprit. Until Donna Summer night, Lakisha's clothes gave her coverage. And, flattery. It was when Ms Summer suggested a long dress that Lakisha's taste in clothes went South. While showing less cleavage than later choices, Lakisha's white gown added a good 25+ pounds to her appearance. But, ever since Paula gave her approval of that gown, everything Lakisha's's worn has exposed more of her breasts. And, added more weight to her appearance.
