He's such a little weasle, I hate the way the writers are taking his character as I've always liked he and Bree together. But to run instead of going over to help Edie showed he has no worth.
The only way that the writers can save the storyline of Dave and Mike is to do as Doodle suggested above, but at this point it will be a total after thought. There could have been a good storyline there if they'd intentionally followed through with it.
