Ruben a no-show The other article on the front page claims that... The Velvet Teddy Bear was unable to make the trip from Alabama to Muskegon on Friday because he was unable to fit in an airplane seat. Studdard, by some accounts, is said to be much heavier than the 360 pounds he weighed as a contestant on "American Idol." I think that if people are looking for a line where being overweight is really unhealthy, that was it. I don't judge people for being overweight (because I am overweight too), but this is ridiculous.
