I would love to see Clay win, don't get me wrong. But as well as they have both performed (as far as audiences loving them), it seems like they are both guaranteed contracts at the end of this thing. AI would be dumb not to offer them both one, since I think they appeal to vastly different audiences and wouldn't really compete in the real world. Just my two cents.

To compare Justin and Kelly from last season: Both got recording contracts, but Kelly's seems to be much, much better. All contracts aren't the same. I think the same will happen this season.

The advantage of winning this contest is also one of timing. By contract, the winner gets to release their album first and take advantage of the momentum from the show. Kelly was able to release her first album much earlier than Justin and was able to realize sales from the continued hype during Season 2. Justin's album won't release until the summer, so he won't have that added lift. Will it make a difference? Only time will tell, but the winner definitely gains an advantage, from a marketing standpoint.

BUT, if we kinda look over Justin and look at somebody who probably deserved to finish better than she did, Tamyra has had an extremely successful career already, and has plans for albums and acting gigs and everything...other than Kelly, Tamyra seems to have been more successful than Justin thus far....of course, Justin's movie/cd haven't been released, so you never know, but Tamyra is really taking the opportunity and going with it.
