LAST EDITED ON 01-09-02 AT 05:13 PM (EST) Well, I think this will be pretty logical, but not all the way, as Teresa said, we WILL be suprised of who is in the final two. When she says WE, she means the general viewing audience. (These picks may change due to spoilers) 4.Mamakim - Her part is done, she knows she is ranked fourth in their alliance and will go barring immunity. 3.Ethan - Lex wins the final immunity and realizes that his only chance is against Tom. 2.Lex - He couldn't have won against any of the other final four, it's just a few bad mistakes he made that kept him from the million. 1.Tom - Pulls it off after being taken into the final two. It has been documented in previous Survivors, the person who wins the most immunities ALWAYS LOSES!!!! And, as before, the vote will be 4-3. Teresa figures that the normal audience doesn't expect Lex to be in the finals. Tom's Votes.... 1.Lil'Kim - She didn't seem to like Lex much, and her partnership with Tom in the IC and constant flirting will secure her vote for the big guy. 2.Frank - Frank didn't like Lex, because Lex teamed w/Brandon and didn't align with Frank, plus Frank seemed to like Tom alot. 3.Ethan - The fact that Lex didn't repay Ethan by taking him on the trip (Just as Ethan did with Lex) may be one factor, another is that Lex wins immunity and kicks him out. 4.Kelly - She dispises Lex....will proboably pull a Sue Hawk and further ruin Lex's slim chances of winning, plus she seemed to have liked Tom somewhat. Lex's Votes..... 1.MamaKim - Seemed to have a friendship with Lex. This vote could change to Tom, but I think she'll vote Lex. 2.Teresa - Was friends with him from the time they met. 3.Brandon - They had an alliance, and just like Rudy, Brandon will fullfill his requirements and vote for Lex. *EDITED - To thank the summary writers, you've done an awesome job this season....plus, mods, I can't change the subject to this, sorry, lol.   Top

MamaKim and Lex's gut conspire against him. 3. Thank god she's gone. 2. I'm not sure who wins fallen comrades but I'm leaning toward Lex who takes Ethan to the finals as part of honoring LET commitment. Sucker. 1. Despite the Lex fans rallying to the cause, he will lose and big. T-bird--definite Lex voter which may also explain some of Kelly's residual resentment toward her. Likes Lex and tends to gravitate toward alpha male. When she got booted she kissed everyone but E. Brandon-- likes Lex but keeps saying he voted for the best player without being effected by personal feelings. Hint, hint. We would have assumed a Lex vote from Brandon but he is trying to tell us that this is not what he happened. The best player pretends to be nice. Brandi votes for Ethan. Frank and Kelly can't stand Lex and Tom has residual anger which will be compounded be the fourth place finish. All Ethan voters. KimP will not vote for someone that she doesn't think is nice. She votes Ethan. MamaKim-adores Ethan and will vote for him despite her third place finish. Ethan wins 6-1; The only possible defectors to Lex that I forsee from this list might be MamaKim who I suspect is gonna be pretty pissed about finishing third. Ethan could lose her vote if he wins final immunity and takes Lex verses Lex booting MK. Brandon, too, I've waffled on slightly but still feel good about the Ethan pick. "Tom/ThongGranny/Lex/Ethan" I've been a little out of the loop with all the discussions on this board the past week with my crazy back-to-school schedule lately, but here goes... Tom goes in fourth place -- spoilers seem to suggest that his sister says he is 4th and while I believe in the 3 guys alliance, this is where Lex/Ethan decide they have to break it up to maximize their chances of going to the final two, and Lex will surely feel let down or paranoid about Tom after hearing what T-Bird said in the last episode. Thong Granny finishes 3rd as she's now 'fulfilled her usefulness' here. It's a much closer vote here than some people might expect -- Lex could even win the jury vote depending on how he present himself and his answers to jury questions before the vote. I feel that just enough people may choose to remember how Lex manipulated the tribe over the fact that he played the game really well, so Ethan wins 4-3. It can very easily be a 4-3 vote for Lex. "It's just funny seeing people that are matched up, everyone has a partner now and everyone's happy. And boy, my camping trip just went to hell." Frank Garrison, Dec. 13/01   Top

"T-MK-L-E" I too am starting to think that there will indeed be a final Lex-Ethan showdown, and that Ethan will win. The rest is pure speculation (there aren't any spoilers to speak about), but here's how I think it will go and why. First TC: Lex will be immune, again. Votes: Tom 2 - MK 2 Boot: Tom, who has more previous votes than MamaKim. Second TC: Ethan will be immune. Boot: MamaKim. Ethan will take Lex with him to the F2. Final vote: Could be even 7-0 to Ethan, though I think 6-1 or 5-2 is more likely. I firmly believe that Ethan and Tom didn't sell each other out, at any point. If that happened I don't think Ethan would have been visiting Big Tom's farm. But the fact that Ethan did visit Tom's farm also shows they can't be the final two. So, one of them has to be out soon, without the one of them being able to help the other. Tom will take the bullet for Ethan in a way, and will have "no regrets" about it. Lex, who is calling the shots, trusts Ethan, but not Tom. MamaKim knows this and also that the LET are going to target her. She knows that her only chance is to persuate Lex to vote against Tom with her. That would result to a tie that Tom would loose because of the prior votes casted against him. Lex will be easily convinced, since he now thinks that he can win also the last Immunity and be able to take who ever he wants to the F2. He thinks he has better chances of winning the million dollars against MamaKim than against Ethan or Tom. Only that everything doesn't go exactly as Lex thought it would go. Ethan wins the last IC, and is in a win-win situation when taking Lex to the F2. He doesn't have to break his loyalty to his original alliance to have a chance to win a million dollar. And he will win, most probably by a real landslide. Even Brandon might turn his coat once again and vote for Ethan. Just about everybody but Kelly will be happy to vote for Ethan. Kelly will make a speach a là Susan Hawk stating that she thinks neither of the final two is deserving to win, since both of them betrayed her in a way or another. But she will vote for Ethan, since from her post-Survivor comments it's obvious she has reached some kind of a closure with Lex (she's had her revenge), but her comments still show a considerable amount of bitterness towards Ethan.   Top

I'm going with theory that the original Boran alliance holds true with LET, Kim being last into that. So, Kim, not likely winning immunity, gets the boot first. I think Ethan wins the final immunity (due to preview hype about him being "the favorite")and he gets to pick his final parter. He choses Lex over Tom for three reasons: 1) Lex was a good contender, winning many immunity challenges, Tom coasted through most of them. 2) I don't think Ethan likes Tom as much as he likes Lex. The smelly feet, the backwoods "Jew" talk, his ignorance...Tom just really could get irritating, and it seems he did a bit to Ethan. 3) Lex is easier to win against. There may be a few surprise Lex votes, but Ethan wins by a landslide. Lex loved his Survivor experience, but hates everyone for voting for Ethan when he feels he deserved to win, hence the tatoo, but doesn't talk much to others. Ethan is the perfect Survivor posterboy. In alot of ways Ethan has stayed under the radar and just voted with the group. Lex was out their campaigning and making the decisions. They were not always the smartest decisions. But if they get him in the final 2... However several players have said they know who won which makes me think it shouldn't be a big surprise or a close vote. Burnit wants us to think that Lex is mad at Tom, and he will be the featured target, but, we all know that the featured target NEVER goes. So, Ethan goes first. He is the third wheel in the L/E/T. TC #1: Tom There are definitely good arguments for L-E-T sticking together and booting Kim, but I don’t think that will happen. A lot of attention has been paid to Lex and Tom “swearing on their sons' names.” But as Kelly told us, Lex made everyone swear on a loved one. Presumably, he made Ethan swear on someone he cares about (e.g., his mom, his girlfriend, or maybe his couch). He probably also made Kim do the same. He has to break an agreement with one of these people eventually. We only saw him refer explicitly to his and Tom’s agreement, to make us think that’s the most important one, but I think this is the one that will be broken. During the last episode, even though the Tom boot was misdirection, Teresa planted seeds of doubt in Lex’s mind about Tom’s loyalties. In referring to Tom, Lex said, “If I think he’s going to stab me in the back, I’ll cut his throat.” It doesn’t matter what Tom will or will not in fact do. All that matters is what Lex thinks Tom will do. If Lex believes that Tom will betray him, then Tom has violated their agreement in Lex’s mind, and Lex will have no problem with sending Tom packing. Kim and Ethan will go along with this, stay true to their alliance, and send the “backstabber” home. This scenario does not depend on who gets immunity, unless it is Tom, obviously. For the record, I think it will probably be the Fallen Comrades IC, and I think Lex will win. I can't see any way Tom would win this. TC #2: Kim I think this one is fairly simple, because I think that Lex and Ethan have had the strongest alliance all along. Kim was playing the Keith role - someone loyal that they dragged along to fill out their alliance, but who would be dumped at the very end. What I’m not completely sure about is who I think will win the final IC. I’m guessing that it will be some kind of endurance challenge. On one hand, Lex has shown the ability to dominate both physical and mental challenges. However, Ethan wants to win, badly, and he is very strong-willed. If the last IC is something like the Keep-Your-Hand-On-The-Idol from S1, then I think Ethan will win. This type of challenge requires not just physical endurance, but the sheer will to stay there as long as it takes, and Ethan has that will. Final Vote: Lex is called out. Ethan wins 6-1. 1) Kelly: Ethan. This one is easy. 2) Brandon: Ethan. This one is not so easy. It would appear Brandon might vote for Lex, since we know they developed that weird bond during the game. However, despite the fact that his strategy backfired, Brandon has been one of the few players that has shown the ability to separate his emotions from his game-playing. Even though Lex is his friend, he will vote for Ethan. Why? Ethan, at least from what we have seen, has not appeared to let emotion interfere with his thinking the way Lex has, to a certain degree. Brandon will respect this. 3) Frank: Ethan. This one is also a little iffy. I think Frank respects both Lex and Ethan. He said in his post-boot chat that he thought Ethan was playing the game the best up to that point, although I have seen people refer to other instances where he said he thought Lex was playing the best. The reason I think Frank will vote for Ethan is because of the switch. When Frank showed up at Boran, he went from hell to heaven. At Boran, people worked hard and had mutual respect for each other. I think Ethan would have stood out in particular because he was young, and yet still a stand-up guy - a sharp contrast with the young, lazy, do-nothings back at Samburu. There will be a strong association in Frank’s mind between Ethan and Frank’s newfound happiness at Boran, and Frank will vote for Ethan. (Okay, I know that’s a lame theory, but it’s the best I can come up with.) 4) Kim P.: Ethan. I think this one is pretty easy. We all know Kim is playing based on emotion, not strategy. She never showed any dislike for Lex, but there has never been any indication that she particularly liked him either. But in her post-show interviews, she gushed over Ethan. 5) Teresa: Lex. Seems like an easy one. She loves Lex as a person, and her votes for him at TC were always votes of respect - she thought he was both a strong competitor and a strong leader. 6) Tom: Ethan. Not sure about this one, but I think his “brotherly” relationship with Ethan will prevail, and there will still be lingering resentment over the Brandon issue. 7) Kim J.: Ethan. This one is really tough. I think Kim will vote for Ethan, even though I picked him as having voted her out in the last TC. I just think she has had a tighter bond during the game with Ethan than with Lex. Other than that, I can’t come up with any better reasons why she would vote for one over the other. Final vote 6-1 for Ethan. This would support the post-show comments a number of the players have made that they are pretty sure they know the winner. The only thing that has me wondering if I’m wrong is that we still know so little about Ethan. Presumably the winner (or both of the final 2, if MB truly doesn’t know the winner) needs a fully developed story. However, as much as I hate to admit it, I am going to have to fall back on my own theory about editing, that Ethan was a little boring. MB can only work with what actually happened. We know that Ethan purposefully flew UTR, held back and didn’t reveal a lot about himself, both by his own admission, and by the comments from booted players. MB can’t control the voting, so if the winner was boring, there’s not much he can do about it. Therefore, the winner can in fact have an underdeveloped story if there never was much of a story to tell. (Good rationalization, huh?) diamond   Top

For the second immunity, I have a feeling that Mama Kim will win, and she will be thinking of the million at this stage of the game, and will therefor take Lex with her, since in her eyes Tom would give her a worse shot at winning the million. I think Lex will win the vote 4-3. I think it is likely that Brandon, Ethan, Tom and possibly even Frank may vote for him, if for no other reason than because he played a good game(though I am not sure how good). Not expecting many big surprises, but looking forward to the questions and comments from the jury... #4. Kim The L/E/T Alliance, established early on in the game, will hold together. Lex and Ethan are friends, Ethan and Tom “are like brothers”, Lex and Tom “swore on their sons”. No regrets. Teresa’s comments on SI reconfirmed the strength of the alliance. The last episode was edited to raise some questions about the alliance, but most of the issues were instigated by KimJ and Teresa who are obviously desperate. The Strategies Revealed Theory concludes that neither of KimJ’s attempts with Ethan or Lex will succeed. KimJ has never received any “Final 2 Editing”, but she did have a face time spike last week. And finally, yes she could beat Tom in the Fallen Comrade IC, but Lex and Ethan are both formidable opponents, and if either of them win, she’s gone first… #3. Tom I believe that once the L/E/T Alliance reaches the Final 3, it expires…with “no regrets”. At that point who ever wins immunity determines the Final 2. Lex confirmed this last episode when he was talking to Teresa… The Tom and Ethan photo, at Tom’s farm, indicates an apparent lack of betrayal, but there is no precedent for a “Final 2” meeting until after the finale. The Tom’s Sister spoiler is still unconfirmed, as far as I can tell, with the origins apparently being a “Tom makes the Final 4” comment, rather than a "Tom goes out #4"... So, have to read this spoiler as Tom making it to the Final 4, but not to the Final 2. Final 2: Lex vs Ethan By a process of elimination, Lex and Ethan are the Final 2. Numerous spoilers, speculation and rumours support a Lex-Ethan Final 2… The CBS Poll Theory, “My Dad Won” spoiler, and Lex’s “Judgment Day” comment all indicate a Final 2 finish for Lex. In retrospect he has also been edited as a main character throughout the show, and many would say as “The Villan”. Little Kim’s comments are the only real spoiler indicating that Ethan makes the final 2. But the fact that Ethan has played the game well, has not received any votes, seems to have alliances with everyone left, and has the ability to win challenges, makes him a shoe in for the Final 2. The Survivor: Ethan While the Lock-Box prevents anyone from knowing who won, several contestants have commented that they “know” who won. These comments suggest that, to them, their “appears” to be a clear winner. No one would be considered a clear winner against Ethan, (“Jesus”), who has gone “without sin”, but many would say that Ethan was a clear winner against Lex...who will probably have to take the "walk of shame" in the end. I want to do something distinctive. But, with so little to go on, all I can do is follow the editing. What is unusual about the editing? One thing stands out. We know that EVERYONE who was in an alliance with Lex had to swear on a family member. So why show us ONLY Lex and Tom doing it unless there is some special significance to that promise? But how could there be a special significance? I see no reason to change my previous belief that Lex and Ethan are the closest alliance, moreso than Tom and Lex. Well, it could be significant in one way -- if Lex "pulls a Richard" in the second IC, confident that either Ethan or Tom will take him into the finals. Do I think that's what happens? I don't know. But, since I'm fresh out of other ideas, I like it. Thus, I'm changing my order. First, Thong Granny pays the price for not switching sides and goes 4th. Then Tom loses IC and Ethan has to boot him, so he ends up 3rd. Tom then votes for Lex, as does Teresa (who wants to initiate Lex into the Mile High Club herself). "Kim/Ethan/Tom/Lex" Okay... here's the way that my reasoning works, so try to follow me: -Lex is by far the most complex character this time. We know all about him, so he absolutely MUST be in the final two, either as the winner or the bad guy. -Kim is absolutely not in the final two, as one of the least complex characters of the entire series. -Lex's children thought he won... probably got the idea from Daddy (or at least overheard it). If there is a lockbox, this means that Lex was at least final two, and also may indicate that he faced someone that he believed that he could beat... Tom makes more sense in this role than Ethan. -If Tom and Lex make it to the final two, how did they get there? Answer: the alliance formed on day two was revealed to us will hold strong. Tom and Lex will remain true to each other. -Why does Kim finish fourth? It would be unwise for any of the males to save Kim because they would lose votes on the jury, and also risk her winning immunity. Lex especially won't risk this, because either Ethan or Tom would take him to the finals due to underlying alliances. Kim offers Lex no such guarantee (she appears to be closest with Ethan and might take him). -But what about Kim's finishing fourth comment? This will be clouded by Lex's apparent witch hunt aginst Tom, prompted by T-Bird's revelation that Tom conspired against him. His comments (as always) will be made to the camera and not to the contestants, and will thus have no direct bearing on game play. -Why reveal the Lex/Tom alliance? Lex and Tom are allied to the end. However, Tom's attempts to give Lex previous votes and Lex's apparent witch hunt will hide this alliance from view during the next episode. When one of these chooses the other in the final IC, the alliance will provide immediate justification for the decision (in addition to the obvious: They each stand a much better chance of winning without Ethan in the final two). -Between Lex and Tom, who will win? Lex has been edited as evil, but ultimately played the game the best, and will stick to his alliances to the end. Although his gut was wrong about Kelly, he will earn the respect of the audience (much like Rich did) as he explains himself to the jury. Tom, on the other hand, has been extremely non-PC, and yet MB allowed his comments to air, offending a portion of the audience. This is not the way that MB would edit a millionaire (and recall his interview-- he knows who won, and is editing accordingly). -But how can Lex win? With the exception of Kelly, no one on the jury has expressed true resentment toward Lex. Brandon, Tom, Kim J, and Ethan like him. Teresa, Kim P, and Frank respect his strategy (although they attempted to vote out the leader of the opposing tribe). While some of the above (Kim P!!!) may vote for Tom over Lex, Lex can still pull out a win. -Then why edit Lex as evil? To hide his dominance in the game. A likable person that continuously wins immunity and is in a powerful alliance has already been seen in S2 (Colby). MB had to build suspense by making it seem that Lex would be voted out if he ever lost immunity, and also had to hide Lex's strong position in the game. He has managed to uphold Lex's unliked personna by using comments about wanting to vote him out (that were strategically based), being tired of his continuous wins (as any competitor would be), and also using Kelly's hateful comments. -Why did Kelly hate Lex? My suspicion is that Lex was the only one that told her where to stuff it. You will notice that no one had many nice things to say about Kelly, and her profile fits Jerri's exactly. My suspicion is that MB didn't forget to cast a Jerri this season... he did, and her name was Kelly (whose best friend after the game is Silas-- someone that was never in a tribe or on the jury with her). Kelly had to be edited as likable so that the audience would buy her dislike of Lex, but no one liked her... Lex was just the one that told her so (or at least snubbed her). She took this personally, providing the comments to the camera necessary to plant the seeds of Lex-ful hate. (Even Clarence didn't have as much to say about Lex as Kelly when Clarence was voted out). -Note on editing: Ethan was barely featured until the merge. Tom and Lex, on the other hand, have always been central characters to the show. They are the only ones that have been edited to be in the final two. -An Ethan win is obvious to all of America. This is not the way it should be. In S1, Rich seemed like he could not win. In S2, it seemed that whoever won the final immunity (Colby or Tina) would take Keith to the finals, and would easily win. When this didn't happen, it left a truly suspenseful ending. -Surprise Finish: As mentioned above, surprise in S1 was created with a non-likable person winning, although Rich did nothign to hide his alliance. In S2, it was easily created because Tina and Colby hid their alliance, and thus people thought there were many false alliances in play (ie: Tina/Keith)... unfortunately for MB, S3 left him with a likable winner that was blatantly obvious about his allies. MB chose to edit him as unlikable to falsely re-introduce the element of surprise to the game (although T-Bird points out that it was obvious to her who would win the game). -That's my last official GUT of the season... and just in time for the vote thread. You never know what might be up my sleeeve...   Top

If Quiz is Number 4, no way MK can win immunity again unless they have a sewing immunity challenge or something, so MamaKim will go here leaving Tom and Ethan. Somebody Brandon was close to has to be left in the game because he said in his chats he went for who played the game best, not who he liked best. It seems the only two he formed relationships with were Lex and Tom, so I'm guessing only of the two of them is in the Final. Everyone agrees Ethan played the game well. So, I'm going with an Ethan win, and Tom 2nd. Ethan is being portrayed as Jesus as many have stated. So if there's a bible connection, no person for him to win against than the "goat" herder Tom. I think this Survivor is going to be anti-climatic thus Survivor 4 starting so shortly after. Draw them back in before the desire to watch dies. I think the anti-climatic nature of this one forced MB to start Survivor 4 so closely afterward.   Top

I believe KimJ would be an easy victory for any of these guys. Tom is gone due to what happened in the last episode. I am starting to think Ethan loses to Lex because Ethan has been to guarded, to behind the scenes, a "blink and you missed him" sort of fellow. Lex has worked hard for his victory. He has made mistakes, sure, but nothing that would make him a super villain. In fact, I think only Kelly really dislikes him. Still, I'm staying with Ethan 'till the end. May MB have mercy on us all. But logic says not. After his 'villain' winner in S1, and his stealth winner in S2, MB needs more popular winner and Ethan is the man. MamaKim is out because the L/E/T alliance holds, and it's an all male finale. L & T are true to their 'swore on our sons' oath, and Ethan wants to win against competition--not a woman as old as his mother is. In the final 3, the alliance ends and its every man for himself. If either Lex or Ethan win, Tom goes to the showers. Lex would vote him out because he thinks Tom would be his toughest competition, and because he has underestimated laid-back Ethan's popularity. "Kim/Lex/Ethan/Tom" I want to pick an Ethan over Lex final, but since everybody in creation is doing that I've decided it's just too obvious. My final 2 premise starts from the belief that MB as in S2 did not know who won when he began editing the show. Possibly, he does not know to this day and there will be some sort of truly live vote opening (which may not work well if the vote is unanimous, etc.). Lex has been edited as a "bad guy" and strategically stupid for voting off Kelly. In reality everybody was part of it, but Ethan's role was not shown at all and Tom was shown as an extremely reluctant participant (and thus the smartest of the OB strategically on this point). Of the F4, I believe only Tom has clearly been edited "better than he is" just as Tina was. As soon as Tom makes what could be seen as his most offensive comments of the show, at the food auction, we get a lengthy discussion of how Tom doesn't mean any harm and he's very strategic. Tom's very first comment of E1 about "some blond girl leading us in the wilderness" could have been edited to be offensive, but instead it was used to show that Tom was right and Diane really was a nitwit. What this means is that I think Tom and Ethan are the Final 2. My gut says Ethan would win this, but my gut said Kelly would beat Richard and Tina would beat Colby, and Lex's gut never would have guessed Teresa voted against him. It's all in the editing, so I think MB will spring yet another surprise and Tom will emerge as the somewhat puzzling winner. I won't even begin to guess the jury breakdown on that one. Working back from the "No Regrets" title, Kim J has no regrets about not forming an all-female alliance and voting out the boys even though it means she finishes fourth. Lex has no regrets over any of his actions, even though they have managed to antagonize both Ethan and Tom and causes one of them to vote him out at the final TC although they would probably have a better chance of beating him. He played hard and fair and his original alliance was to go to the 3 and let the best man win. Therefore, he finishes third. I put no faith in tabloid spoilers that Lex's son thinks he wins. I have not cared for Lex, but he has played a helluva game so I would have to feel okay about him winning if that's the case.
