Does anyone have a format for an office pool. I have used the "tournament" format for the last couple of years and was hoping to spice it up a bit for this year. I want it to be easy to track and maybe incorporate the tournament format where you pick everyone up front, but also have a pick each week also. Any ideas?

I like your "voted off" suggestion. We will wait until the final 12, but I wanted to be ready. Thanks for the response.

LAST EDITED ON 01-17-08 AT 02:53 PM (EST)>I like your "voted off" suggestion. > We will wait until >the final 12, but I >wanted to be ready. >Thanks for the response. I like the idea of picking who will go home, and we found that when after a while people started dropping out because they missed a couple early on. At our office we started using Fun Office Pools because they use the rules you are suggesting. Essentially, you get 20 points each week to put on whoever you think is going home, then you get those points if you are right. So you can see how taking a risk might pay off ... or cost you. They run it all, so eliminations points scoring etc. is all handled by them. Oh, one other suggestion if you have a larger group. If you are collecting money, let the person who comes in last place get their money back. We found this to be pretty fun. At half way through last season when folks thought they were out of it they all started racing to be in last place. Sometimes thinking someone is safe can get you in trouble, too (see Melinda or Chris Daughtry) So at least everyone was having fun. Just a thought... Should be a good show--heck, there isn't going to be anything else on TV anyway.

This is what we use. We start with the final 12 and move them forward through the brackets leaving one behind each week. You get a set number of points for each person you correctly move ahead and 10 bonus points if you correctly pick the boot for that week. I obviously didn't win last year.
