Lex and Tom are probably the 2 I would most like to ignore on this show. Then they make us watch them on a trip together. Double bed and all. How disgusting was that? This has to be the episode I most disliked. First Lex wins again and takes Tom with him. Then Tom wins something. Then they voted off KimP. Why do we have to keep seeing and hearing Tom with his disgusting sounds and motions? MamaKim is grating on my nerves too. At this point I would like to see Teresa and Ethan in the final. Lex and Tom went on a Safari by truck; they ATE, they DRANK; then they ate Dinner. After dinner in their luxury tent Ole Tom really got DRUNK and Lex put him to bed!! Two thoughts: (1) Tom is going to be soooo hung over when they stick him in that hot-air balloon at Sunrise. LOL! and (2) I only WISH the other tribe mates back at camp get to see a video of Lex/Tom on their great adventure!! Ooops, even as I typed this it is morning and Tom cured his hang over by drinking MORE Bourbon for the balloon trip!!   Top

They have Jeff Probst's personal Visa card. Lots of food; safari jeep trip; Bourbon and beer; Tom took his bottle of bourbon into dinner with him. Chicken, lamb and vegetables for dinner. Tom gets himself plastered. Lex puts him to bed with his hat on. Woman making a deck of cards - jealous of both the trip and the food that the guys are getting. Ethan boiling water or tending fire. Back at camp the woman decide they never want to eat corn again in their lives.   Top

Once they get to the resort there's another cheesy placement moment when the bellhop lady asks for their VISA card and runs it through a machine sitting right on this little table next to the pond. The show is half over and it's been 100% all-RC and RC prize so far... doesn't look like there's be much else other than the IC and the TC in the second half, it doesn't look like much "strategy" clips are going to be shown.   Top

Had to get up early for balloon ride. What a trip! Saw lions attacking wildebeese and thought it was nice. A little gruesome to me. Tom really appreciating this trip and they dread going back to camp. Lex plans to be the last person standing but still dreads going back to the game. Woman learning new card games. Low morale at the camp. Teresa waiting until immunity callange to decide strategy. Immunity Challange - Each has three pots. Must break pots - you know the drill. Break opponents pots. Last one with an unbroken pot wins immunity. Tom masterful. Breaks Teresa and Kim P right away, then Lex. Kim J took out her own. Ethan got Kim P. Ethan and Tom took Teresa out of the game. Lex disqualified Kim P. Lex gets Ethan. Tom takes out Ethan. Lex out of game. Only Kim J and Tom left Tom wins.   Top

In E11, I said that the two contenders to be booted were Lex and Kim P, but instead of sticking with Kim P, I switched to Lex ... Kim P got booted. See the pattern? I think in some sense MamaKim is smart to vote out KimP. KimP is way too likeable.. and she doesn't want to side with the likeable people. At the time it didn't seem to make sense since we all assumed they were a) talking about the Ep 11 TC and b) that KimP would be the only 3rd vote they'd need to make LEX lose on a 3-3 tiebreaker vote. But what if they WEREN'T talking about Ep 11 -- what if Teresa had given up on saving KIMP in Ep11 (they both probably fear gonig to the finals with her given her "likeability") and INSTEAD the two of them were plotting for Ep12??? ...the comment about needing another vote would then make much more sense. Perhaps Burnett even included this scene in tonight's episode DESPITE it actually not happening until AFTER the Ep 11 IC??? -SB   Top

As you point out, this makes PERFECT sense as a scene plucked from E12 and no sense at all in the context of E11. The reason for their focus on Tom is that Tom felt most betrayed by Lex siding with Brandon, since Tom knew he was vulnerable due to his prior votes. I have to admit that I gave up on Lex being booted tonight as soon as he won the RC and picked Tom -- because that meant that Tom wasn't going to vote against Lex this episode, and the Old Boran "core" won't change direction without a consensus. I think the plan is to approach Tom, and if he agrees, then (and only then) to approach Ethan -- I still don't see Mama Kim separating herself from her "pack," even with a majority. I also think that ties in nicely to the "No Regrets" title, because just as Colby and Tina didn't have any regrets about booting Jerri, TEK have no regrets about booting Lex. (Of course, as I have documented above, my big-picture decision-making is good, but my fine decision-making is not so good. Imagine this: after hearing Kelly's final chat, I post that Kelly has "told us" that the next three boots are Frank, Brandon and Kim P ... and I still get the boot order wrong every week.) I haven't seen anything that sways me from Tom(4th)-Teresa(3rd)-Kim J.(2nd)-Ethan (1st) as the final four, in order.   Top

All I did to get KimP right was to stop thinking logically. If I were there, I would have booted Teresa because she was the scheming one and seems more likely to get immunity. But these people don't care about logic--so they booted KimP. Ignore logic--get one right. That will have to be my new approach. As for next time, my PTTE says Teresa, so I have to stick with it. I am starting to think, however, that it will be Lex. Usually when someone says they are going to cut someone's throat, it is their throat that gets cut.   Top
