toddE 1433 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beef Jerky Spokesperson" 01-14-04, 10:05 AM (EST) "America's Next Top Model, Season 2 Premiere" A lot of people I know are actually watching this series on UPN. Any thoughts/opinions here? Personally, I know it will be a let-down compared to the first season, but the premiere was entertaining. I read that there was no "Robin" this time, and they certainly ensured that by booting the "plus size(???)" model who refused to pose nude. And them leaving poor Xenascia (sp?)asleep was some classic catty behavior. No one jumped out at me like Elyse and Adrianne last time, but still looks like fun.   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Season 2 Premiere" I really enjoyed the show, but I must say that there wasn't anyone that really jumped out at me either. Like you mentioned, last year there were a couple, but I haven't been able to pick my favorite yet. From next week's previews, it looks like it'll get even more entertaining... Overall, I love Janice and her critiques. At times, Tyra appears a bit to full of herself but I guess she did create and produce the show, so if I were in her place, I would be too!   Top

"RE: America's Next Top Model, Season 2 Premiere" I have to admit I watched moast of this show last night. The best part will be the fighting amongst the contestants. The modeling wasn't that hot (someone do SOMETHING with Shandi ), the photo shoots were WILD, though. It's already started with them leaving Jenascia asleep and next week's previews--ROWR! I felt bad for Anna ( I think thats the right name), but admired her convitions. I believe that had she been told she would have to pose naked in a seemingly legitimate modeling contest, given her religious faith, she would not have entered the contest   Top

I think it was her naiveté that put her in an uncomfortable position. People who want to be famous need to remember the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for..."   Top

Does she not understand that 85% of modeling requires revelation of some kind? Did she not understand how stupid it was to say it was NOT a religious "thing" that kept her from going nude, but a desire to be "Christlike"? Sorry. I can't feel sorry for her. She had a beautiful face, though.   Top

Getting buck naked around strangers to change clothing, and *gasp* "suggestive" poses. Whatever - I think she was a pretty girl - but I couldn't see her as a model anyway. I'm sorry - but as soon as Tyra said "You have to want this more than anything else in the world". If anna agreed with that - then that means she would have to leave her hubby and child behind. Her family came first in her life and everyone knew it. There's not a damn thing wrong with that either...I would do the same.   Top
