aifan2006 25 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beauty Pageant Celebrity Judge" 05-12-06, 09:34 AM (EST) "You have to vote or don't cry" I spent the entire day watching news shows with people crying over Chris being booted off, Chris was on Jay Leno last night and when the audience booed Chris's being voted off Leno said well don't you have phones, did you vote? That is exactly right, if all these people who are so unhappy over Chris's departure actually picked up the phone and voted maybe he would still be on the show today. If you did'nt vote you don't have a right to complain. It seems to me to many people watch the show, they have their favorite, but when the show is over they turn off the show and watch something else, they figure somebody else will spend their time voting, when to many fans do that that is why their favorite get eliminated. Every year their are favorite eliminated from the show because their fans were to complacent to vote. Even Chris said if you did'nt vote, don't complain. Obviously Katherines fans were more determined to see her advance then Chris's were Tuesday night even though it was obvious Chris was going to be in the bottom two with Katherine. American Idol is the most democratic show on television, the person with the least votes leaves, it does'nt get more democratic then that does it?   Top

People just assumed he'd be safe and voted like mad for Elliott so he'd be in over Kat and Kat fans voted like crazy so she'd get a spot over Elliott. JMO.   Top

"RE: You have to vote or don't cry" Taylor has a very consistant fan base that KNOWS they have to vote to keep him in the running. It also helps that Taylor has stepped up his game and brought it with both barrels firing the last 2-3 weeks. Taylor's fanbase voted more than Chris'. Elliot's fanbase voted more than Chris'. "RE: You have to vote or don't cry" I think Taylor & Elliott & Kat were also more likely to pick up votes from average viewers. Chris was not. The difference in who stays and who goes is decided by the average viewer, not internet fans. The millions of people that enjoy the show and vote once or twice a week for either their favorite or who they think was the best that night. In hindsight I think it should have been obvious that Chris was in potential trouble last week. If he had great performances he might have squeaked by, but he had 2 lackluster performances with his ego obviously in tow. Sunglasses? Gimme a break.   Top

"RE: You have to vote or don't cry" I agree that voting may be a more common problem than most people think. The lines are ALWAYS busy. Especially now that there are so few contestants left. I'm not saying its impossible but its harder than alot of people think.   Top
