I think Kim wins the reward challenge and picks Brandon to go with her to do whatever the reward is, because CBS hinted that it is a double winner reward, and then they do some sort of cultural thing, which explains the writings on Brandon's arm at the IC challenge. Lex wins immunity...his skull torch had the idol around it, I don't think Mark Burnett has the time of day to sit around and screw with our minds with all these complex situations, everything in the past two Survivors have been mostly based on logic. Anyways, Brandon gone because of work ethic, past alliances, current alliances, sexuality (Tom, Frank, Lex may vote against him because he is gay), and perhaps the fact that he wins the reward challenge and may be a danger for future challenges with that energy and the stored up energy from not working as much as some. Although this one is pretty logical, Brandon and Kim will throw their votes at Frank, helping out Tom some in the fact that he won't lose to Frank in a deadlock unless Frank can beat him in questions....if that even matters anymore now that Boran is together.   Top

"Teresa" Game Logic: The Boran had a clear 6-4 advantage at the merge, and an alliance strong enough to vote out one of their own. The remaining five Boran would not have risked going down to a 5-4 advantage had they felt there was any chance of one of them switching over and voting with the Samburu this week. Had there been any doubt, Frank would have been voted out instead, making it 6-3. The original Boran will vote out a Samburu… Of the four remaining Samburu, game logic suggests that Frank or Teresa are currently the greatest threats and therefore, the logical targets this week. Teresa showed everyone that while Frank may be stronger, he is not the only immunity threat. Teresa is well liked by the original Samburu and the women of Boran. Frank on the other hand, is more of a loner. Therefore, Teresa is much more likely to organize a counter-alliance, and in turn a much greater threat than Frank. Frank works hard, gathers wood, doesn’t appear to be forming any threatening alliances and is not a threat to win votes in a final 2 situation. Game logic says Teresa goes before Frank… Overlap at the Lodge: Lindsey and Clarence were the last two pre-jury members to be voted off. Both were reported to have been hospitalized after they left the game. If the Safari group had to wait a few days for Lindsey and Clarence to recuperate before departing, there would have been time for the first jury member, and those previously voted off, to overlap at the Lodge! Diane may have had a few days to get to know Teresa after all, and Carl’s comments about sharing “sleeping accommodations” may have been referring to the Lodge? Diane’s list is still intact, and only Teresa is missing! Diane probably got to know Teresa at the lodge, waiting for Clarence and Lindsey to return from the hospital. Teresa completes “ Diane’s list” after all… Clarence’s Comments: Clarence said that Brandon’s “fortunes come from his weakness”. Since we have not seen any of Brandon’s good fortune yet, Brandon is probably safe this week… CBS Poll : The CBS Survivor site poll this week asks “Who is most likely to be voted out sooner?” Lex, Brandon, or Frank. The poll does not ask who will be voted out this week, and it does not include Teresa. It is a “red herring” intended to lead viewers away from Teresa… Hidden by the editing: MB tried to hide the strong Boran 5 alliance, by editing to emphasize Kelly’s dislike for Lex and MamaKim not liking to be “told what to do” by him, regarding the vote for Clarence. The “witch hunt” has been exaggerated to create drama where there is none, and to introduce a new villan. The audience is led to believe that the Samburu may be able to create a counter attack, led by Teresa, at TC this week, but in the end it will fall short.(“ An original Samburu works to pull over an original Boran to their side; the Boran tribe member shows interest.”) When last weeks heroine burns at the stake, because of Lex’s witch hunt, we will cry out for revenge, which we will get when Lex’s alliance starts to fall apart… MB has gone out of his way to edit Frank as a loner and outcast. Insider clips and comments by Brandon and Clarence seem to contadict the image MB has painted during the last episode and the recap show. Frank is not a threat at this point in the game. MB knows who won immunity. That person has been edited as a target to increase the drama and suspense of the immunity challenge. Lex has been edited as the villan, Frank as the outcast, and Teresa as the target of the witchhunt. The immunity torch seems to be too obvious a clue for MB to give hand us in the previews. It is most likely another red herring, hiding the fact that Frank wins immunity this week… Weight Loss: Frank and Tom were also reported to have significant weight loss, for what it’s worth. Dinner, Movie and Betrayal: With Teresa gone, the Samburu with no votes, and Lex the villan and Tom with previous votes, the stage will be set for Kelly (or Mamakim) to switch sides next week in the “betrayal” episode. As long as Teresa was there, Kelly would have been the fifth wheel. But once shes gone, Kelly, with Frank the loner/outcast, is assured final 3 and maybe Final 2! Much better than she would have gotten from “the boys”. With Teresa gone the betrayal makes sense… Goodbye Teresa… Krautboy   Top

Here's how Kim P can go this week... she wins RC with an athletic performance to expose herself as a threat, takes Brandon with her, people talk about her performance and decide she's a threat, Frank wins immunity, L/E/T decide they rather have Teresa with them than Kim P, and Kim P becomes Little Bit(ch) with her attitude after winning RC. Ciao Kim P. Nahhhh... Teresa is the alternate pick to satisfy the spoilers of Diane's Friends and Linz/Clarence's illnesses delaying the safari. One challenge win doesn't convince me she's a big threat. On the other hand, he could use the "Tina Argument" (Tina won it all, and Teresa has that same potential. And they'd all probably like her on a jury). I guess if I were in the game, that would possibly sway my vote.   Top

I know I should wait to hear about the Early Show on Thursday, but I'm tired of thinking about this episode. I feel a bit redundant here since Krauboy has expressed pretty much how I feel about this week's episode... here's an abbreviated version of my thoughts. Originally, I thought Lex was going. But I've decided that this week is too soon. That would just be too stupid of Boran. And with "betrayal" in next weeks episode, I think he may go next week. So, I think it's a toss up between Theresa and Frank. Frank the loner had lots of face time. But I think Theresa goes -- she is the schemer trying to get Samburu back together. If you were the Boran who would you want out? The one that was plotting against you. She's also proven herself to be an immunity threat. Besides, zzz has been leaning towards Frank. As zzz has said, he can narrow it down to a few and then he always picks the wrong person! Sorry zzz. Thanks for the summary Dave!   Top

I read Krautboy's thread about Teresa, but I'm still not convinced. Perhaps I should be. But I still think the comment in the E9 preview that "one tribe member is devastated by the actions of another" refers to Teresa, since I can't picture anyone else being "devastated" by just about anything that could happen. Even Brandi wouldn't be "devastated" -- he knows he's on the losing side, and he just wants to outlive the OFA -- if anything else good happens, it would just be gravy for him. I think Frank and Teresa are probably the next two off, but I think Frank goes first because he represents a greater physical threat ... plus, Lex wouldn't like the fact that Frank is close to Ethan. Could I be off base? Sure. I have no actual spoiler evidence to use in choosing between the two of them, and logic hasn't done very well so far, since I've generally missed the challenge winners. Ok - IMO the core initial group of Boran always votes out the biggest obstacle to their advancing - not their heart. In the beginning, it was the weakest member of their tribe. Last week it became the biggest individual immunity threat. They vote in their collective best interest. They have not allowed sympathy, friendship or preference to deter them from that goal. They were prepared to vote out MamaKim (reluctant but prepared) if it came to it. As a team - they have been focused soley on winning. So it really all comes down to who is the biggest remaining obstacle to that goal. Arguments can be made for several people. To me, the most dangerous is Teresa. She is athletic. She is a maternal, positive person. She is determined. She is the one possible uniting element between the remaining Samburu. And she is not someone you want to have next to you if you are in the final 2. Boran is smart - voting off Teresa is the smart thing to do. Combine this with Diane's friends and some of the other excellent analysis by Krautboy and others, it makes me almost kinda half-way positive that I think Teresa may possibly be going. the great entity of the thread   Top

"Teresa" Yes, it's a tight tossup between Frank and Teresa, but this is one week where I'm willing to go with the less popular popular pick. No original Boran will defect and TERESA will be booted. If Teresa manages to stay, then FRANK is my alternate pick. I think the LEX rampage footage is a herring of sorts, but he's as good a pick as anyone else to win the Immunity Challenge Supporting boot evidence: - Teresa won the first individual immunity and in the process showed that she's much stronger than suspected and much more likely to be a competitor in endurance physical challenges than anyone likely previously suspected. - Teresa attempts to make a counter-alliance move this week and is generally just out looking to stir up trouble for the Borans. In the meantime Frank just keeps to himself, hanging around cleaning, gathering wood, and generally just keeping the camp in order. This will make Teresa a much bigger threat in the Boran's eyes and we all know what happens to threats. - Diane's friends. Teresa is the only friend left, if she doesn't go this week then it's probably next week. - Frank's focus in the recap episode. In S2, the recap episode was before Ep 9, Jerri was a big focus of it (trying to rehab her image) and she was booted the very next week in Ep 8. This season the recap episode was before Ep 8 and Frank was a big focus of it. Some might take this to mean the same pattern will hold and Frank will now be booted, but I find it hard to believe Burnett would be that obvious. I think it's more likely that Frank survives this week and goes next. - A better story. What's a better story for Week 9 -- Teresa convincing Kelly to join with herself, Brandi, and KimP to take out Tom/Lex, or FRANK, after all the crap that went down with him and the GXA, being forced to align with Brandi, KimP, and KELLY (another young'un) to keep himself in the game. - A better plan for Kelly. If I were Kelly I'd feel much more comfortable in joining a B/K/F group than a B/K/T group. In the later there would still be many reasons to suspect she's the fourth person in a four person alliance. In the former she's a virtual lock to be at least the third person. If Kelly is even THEORIZING about a defection, I'm sure she's thought of this herself and would be doing whatever she could to manipulate Boran into a TERESA booting. I'm expecting Kelly to be planning 2 steps ahead at this point in the game -- if she's not then she isn't nearly as smart as we've been lead to believe of late.   Top

Thought #1: everyone else thinks that Lex looks like a goof trying to find out who voted for him. Thought #2: Lex finds out that everyone is laughing at him behind his back. Thought #3: Lex tries to laugh it off and ends up looking like a clown in front of the Samburu, who will after all hold a 4-3 edge on the jury. Thought #4: Lex decides that he needs three more days to make it up to Teresa for the witch hunt. Since Frank will always vote for Ethan over Lex, Lex targets him first.
