avivasmom 1 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "American Cancer Society Spokesperson" 09-17-05, 09:45 PM (EST) "Is it true...it is not going to be on in South Florida? (M)" The TV station says NO but when you look at the Starting Over website says noon. But I have a DVR and does not show up on it. That is horrible if not on. I have watched from the first episode!! To all South Florida Starting Over fans. It seems to me that NBC6, who has been showing Starting Over for the passed two seasons, has decided to remove the show from its programming and replace it with Martha. If you are as upset as I am about this I suggest that we all write to NBC6 and complain. Tell them how much you love the show and how much it is killing you to know that it really hasn't been cancelled, we just can't see it. Here is the appropriate email to send your complaint to: programming@nbc6.net Please make your voice heard. We need to stand up for our rights. It doesn't even matter to me what time they show it as long as I can at least record it. I can't even do that. They aren't showing it at all.   Top

I didn't realize I couldn't do that. I am very upset that they aren't going to show Starting Over in South Florida and you should be too. I think we should all write to NBC 6 and complain. If you want to make your voice heard please write to them at programming@nbc6.net On top of that I have an online petition going and we need as many signatures as we possibly can get. Please sign it. It will be mailed directly to NBC6. Tell everyone that you know, preferably South Florida Residents, to sign this petition. If they just get a couple of emails they will probably ignore it, but if they see that hundreds of people are signing and writing in at the same time, maybe they will take some action. I just signed the petition list and wrote quite a message regarding them pulling Starting Over from NBC6!! I am sooooo pissed! why dont they stick it on at 10am and pull that ridiculous daily local news show of theirs! I am appalled thatthey did not pick up the 3rd season and had the audacity to show SO all summer up until Martha's show began. For god's sake plug the show in at 2am and we will tape it! I have called on a daily basis to the station asking for an explanation and i will not stop and think everyone should do the same! Thank goodness my best friend who lives in NYC will be mailing me weekly tapes of the show but it takes away from our daily chats about the show ... oh well at least ill be able to watch it unlike others. What even gets me more pissed is that it is being aired in Palm Beach, Tampa, and Ft. Meyers!! Sheesh ... Miami/Ft. Laud is a metropolitan city and to boot 2 out of the 6 houseguests are from South Florida this season and they are just dissing them like this! Keep writing and calling NBC6!!! 954-NBC-6000   Top

So, it seems that you also might want to suggest that the non-NBC stations add it. Keep calling and complaining and now that the show has started and we know now that 2 out of the 6 houseguests hail from South Florida throw that in their face!!! Anything at this point people! My name is Vicky and I live in Texas. I have Direct TV and I'm not sure if what channels I watch SO on are just here or if its a Direct TV thing but I wanted to try to help anyone out if I can. I watch SO season 1 reruns on channel 241 at 7:00a.m. and again at 2:00 the station is called TV1. Right now they are where Josie has just had Chloe. I watched season2 on 280 until they canceled it and then I found it on channel 893 just by channel surfing one night. Right now I'm watching the couple thing which comes on at 5:00a.m. in case you miss the day befores episode and then the current episode at 2:00p.m. and anxiously awaiting Season3. I hope yall will be able to find it on some channel. Sorry if I wasn't any help!!!!! Vicky   Top

Perhaps this was not explained in the hullabaloo of many of you being sent here. In the upper right hand corner of every post, there are four small icons. I'd like to focus on the first two. Both have what look like envelopes. The first one allows you to e-mail that user. The message will be sent through the RTVW boards to the user at whatever address he or she sets in his or her profile. The second one is for sending private messages (PM's) to each other which are stored here on RTVW. The third allows you to see a user's profile, if any parts of it are public. (You can set whether yours is visible by going to the Conferences page.) The fourth is disabled for most posters. So if you want to e-mail anyone, use the icon to protect your privacy. Enjoy! Any other problems, e-mail or PM a mod. Or check out the Help Forum. Note that there are already copious threads on how to attach a sigpic to your post. But don't ask for anyone to create you one there; that's what the Off Topic Forum is for.   Top

I did a search because I was so mad it wasn't on anymore. It came up on the station TVONE on #173. This is digital cable. If you don't have digital, I don't know what it would be on. I didn't see any other listing for it on my search though. I live in Davie, FL (near Ft. Lauderdale). I hope this helps. And by the way, it comes on 2 times a day on that channel: 8am and 5pm.
