Since IceCat is recovering from his knee surgery, and we don’t have an official SOTS thread this week, I thought it would be fun to review some of our spoiling... just for the fun of it.While most of the previews don’t seem to mean much in terms of who goes this week, trying to spoil them is good practice for the upcoming weeks when things start to heat up…
These are some of my conclusions, drawn from reading the fine posts on this board…
1.Meanwhile, an ill tribemember suddenly finds himself surrounded by elephants
Frank may be ill. Teresa is shown asking him”Frank, do you want more mush…”. They do not have an abundance of food so she is not asking him if he wants seconds. He is probably not feeling well and not eating his portion, and Teresa is asking him if he wants more.
Frank, the ill tribe member, and Teresa, go off away from camp where they encounter the elephants as shown in thew preview videos, but Frank is the one who “finds himself surrounded”.
2. Another tribe member feels more comfortable amongst the animals than amongst the people. Will the people vote against him?
This may also be Frank who will probably be edited as this week’s target. When he and Teresa go off, he tells her that he feels more comfortable amoungst the animals…”Will the people vote against him?” No they will vote for Teresa instead.
3. One tribe member, not fully trusted due to an early mistake, makes a critical deal will another. Will this person stay true to the promise?
Clarence makes a deal to save his skin and Teresa goes instead.
4. EP8/9: Smoking out the snake…
The preview for this week asks, “Will this person (Clarence) stay true to the promise? My guess is that he won’t and he becomes the “snake” that the rest of the tribe smokes out, by setting him up to take the fall at TC in EP8.
5. Announcer: "...and one unlucky survivor will swallow their pride..."
Frank is the one who was unlucky at the IC last week and must swallow his pride in his archery skills. This will come to light at the beginning of EP7 when we see Boran discussing the previous days event.
6. Certain former power-players find themselves in a brand new world, and a seventh individual is voted out of the tribe.
Since Boran is still in power and Teresa and Frank never had any power, the only FORMER power-players are Brandon and Kim P. The brand new world they find themselves in is one much less hospitable, than they were used to, A world of vulnerability.
7. And the question on the minds of the ten remaining Survivors: When will the tribes merge into one? And most importantly, how will the change in the game (from tribe against tribe to individual against individual) affect the dynamics between them?
The tribes will not merge in the “traditional” fashion and it will most likely be postponed one week to EP8. MB wants to leave us hanging and wondering and waiting for two weeks, but he wants us ( and all those who missed the first 7 episodes) to come back in two weeks. That’s when the strong, with weak alliances, become vulnerable…Clarence?
Happy Thanksgiving
