DH and I just caught wind of this show and are hooked! We have been watching this weekend's marathon, trying to catch up for the season 3 premier tonight. We love it... more than Deadliest Catch! I am fascinated by the job and by the fact that I had no idea this job existed (for a while now, too! How long has Alex been doing this? I thought he said something like 20 years, but I could be making that up...).

We watched all of season 1 with the exception of the last two episodes: our DVR recorded over them with the beginning of season 2. Thoughts:

a) Holy mother! What an insane thing to do for a living.
b) After watching Drew and his drama back-to-back-to-back... DH and I wanted to shut.him.up. When on his first day he had his truck on cruise control and was not even paying attention, I was angry... where is the respect for the ice road and its fellow travelers?
c) I really enjoyed the camaraderie of season 1, hopefully season 2 (we are only a few episodes in) turns out that way.

Anyone else gearing up (pun intended) for season 3?
