PagongRatEater 12996 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 11-09-01, 10:22 AM (EST) "When's the merge?" Maybe I missed it, but I did not notice a thread on one of the most interesting points that was raised by last nights episode. Jeff hinted and the preview confirmed that things are probably not going to go according to Hoyle with the merge. I'd love to hear what all our wonderful spoilers have to say on this topic. My personal opinion is that they will merge with 8 instead of the standard 10. This would definitely give more credence to Sue's comment about the weak becoming the targets again. Also, I think now that they have moved people around they want to give these new "tribes" an opportunity to bond and possibly form more alliances. If the merge were to happen after the next episode, certainly all of old Boran would vote together, but the longer these people sat together the more likely it is that we will see plots within plots. Great episode! For the first time this season I am REALLY excited to see what comes next.   Top

I don't think any of us has a clue when the merger will be now, but it does seem to me that MB would like us to think that it is not going to be in Episode 7 as it would have been previously. He also is giving us the full on impression that no matter what we think, he is not above changing the rules at a split second, just because he wants to. It really does add a hint of complexity to this whole spoiling thing, when there really are no rules that we can count on. But then again, it did make for some pretty interesting television last night, I have to admit that.   Top

They always merged at 10 people and the first person voted out didn't get to be on the jury. So maybe they will just merge at 9 people this time and all the merged people get on the jury. Since the 3-way swap they don't have to merge at an even number of people (hoping the teams are even at 5-5). They are already mixed up.   Top
