Thanks pheeann...good article. I found this part interesting:
"I kind of knew it was going to be me," she says on the ET set. "Honestly, because the show is so unpredictable and things you don't think are going to happen do happen. I was watching RYAN SEACREST's eyes and he was looking at Fantasia as he announced it, so I knew it was going to be me."
And I didn't realize Elton John made an offer to LaToya about a deal. Cool!

When Elton John was the theme, AI showed him working with the contestants, their song choices, and then aired his comments. He said he'd sign LaToya right then and there. As far as I'm concerned, 'nuff said. I'm not a huge EJ fan (loved his early stuff), but there's no denying his talent and success. And, IMHO, his good taste in vocals

LaToya will do very well. American Idol was just a hugh springboard for her. We'll be seeing her for years to come. I don't think we'll be saying the same thing about some of the other contestants (not going to say who ), but LaToya has a great future.
