kathliam 3669 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Thong Contest Judge" 02-01-06, 07:46 PM (EST) "American Idol 5: Auditions 2/1/06 East Coast Spoiler Thread" Please keep all discussion of tonight's show in this thread until after 11:00 PM EST so our friends in other time zones won't have their experience spoiled, if they so desire. So, tonight is Austin. Expect big hair, big belt buckles, and big accents. Will we see any country singers or yodelers tonight? I think we're getting bored with the auditions, don't you? Let's just get on with the competition, already. Don't get me wrong, the bad auditions are funny, but they could have compiled a 'worst of' episode for later in the season. And frankly, some of the bad auditions have been just sad, not even bash-worthy. I would remind everyone to delete their sigpics so the thread doesn't become unweildy for our dial-up friends, but somehow I doubt that will be a problem tonight. But please, keep this in mind once the competition does begin (if you choose to return ).   Top

Her voice wasn't powerful but she managed to stay on pitch (even with her mouth closed furcryingoutloud!). Her voice wasn't bad, and she performed a respectable redition of 'Something To Talk About'. It will be interesting to see how far she goes in the competition.   Top

The first time the audience had an opportunity to vote him out, they did -- despite the fact that he was probably the best dancer. Ronnie sang pretty well, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see him survive for a bit, but he won't get my calls.   Top

"Next Week on American Idol 5" Next Tuesday is the last night of auditions (finally!) in Boston. Wednesday is the first night of competitions -- Hollywood Heck Week. Can't wait to see you all there.
