I'm not going to lie, I am getting excited. I think this should be an interesting season.... I myself am a Sara Evans fan, so for all of you Sara fans out there, this is how you vote for her: Voting Rules Phone: Call 800-VOTE4-02 to vote for Sara. I missed the first couple of dancers, so I can't comment on how the show started, but there's no way they could have been worse than Tucker Carlson. GO.HOME.NOW. He had me missing P from last season. But after watching Emmitt Smith, oh my...I might have to become a Cowboys fan after watching him. I had been a Jerry fan last season, and Mr. Smith is definitely keeping up the pride of the NFL.   Top

I think his score should have been a lot closer to Mario's, he was almost as good. I'm not sure if it was because he was the first one or what, but I was really surprised when the three 7's came up. He was really into it, he and Edyta had a lot of speed and I didn't really see any misteps or anything. It's nice to see Edyta finally get a partner who compliments her dancing style. oh, and just out of curiosity, when did Joey get so ripped? Dayum, did you see his arms?! That poor little girl who is paired with him looks like she's afraid to say "boo!" to him, and also looked uncomfortable with the over-the-top PDA. He wrapped his arm around her neck and macked her on the face, rubbed the back of her neck, nuzzled her, etc. It was inappropriate and reminded me of a scuzzy bookstore manager I worked for back in college, who used to come up behind us girls and give us little neck massages - ewwwwwww! I came in 15 minutes after the show started, so I think I missed Joey Lawrence. Sounds like he did pretty well. Emmett Smith - I loved this performance, although technically I think there's a lot of room for improvement. But Emmett really performed the routine, he and his partner had good chemistry and I see they also incorporated a move that Emmett taught his partner. He seemed very comfortable out there dancing for the crowd, and it was really fun to watch. Mario Lopez doing the cha cha - mmmmmmm delicious goodness. Now the bashfulness and humility at the end - totally fake? Or is he really that bashful? Seems so unlikely if he's been an actor for years and in the public spotlight. Viveca Fox is the only female dance that I really remember (other than the one who is going through a divorce and using this show to take her mind of her awful life - bleh). I actually liked the performance pretty well, but I felt she was tired. And if she was filming a movie and doing rehearsals for this show at the same time, no wonder. I'm hoping to see improvement in the weeks to come - I'd love her to really throw down. Jerry Springer - surprisingly likeable. Seems to have lots of fans cheering him on in the audience. Hope he doesn't have a heart attack. I think he was sweet and charming, and in way over his head. Harry Hamlin - I was very surprised at how completely stiff he was. A terrible case of nerves? It sounds like he threw himself into rehearsal. Maybe he ought to toss back a few gin and tonics before heading out onto the dance floor. Instead of trying to be perfect Harry, just try to have fun with it. Tucker Carlson - please let him be the first to go. It was painful to watch. Did he skip lots of practices?
