"E13 listing from TV Guide" |
From the print edition of TV Guide, the listing of the final episode:******* ...And then there was one The reality series has reached week 13, in which the final four are whittled down to two and the $1 million dollar winner is chosen by a jury of the last seven voted off the island. And, says executive producer Mark Burnett, "I'm really surprised at the outcome." But before the jury votes, there are two more immunity challenges and three tribal councils. The first immunity challenge is "Foreign Comrades," in which, Burnett explains, the final four must answer questions about the people they just spent 39 days with on the island. It's very revealing." The second challenge is an endurance contest called "Rites of Passage," which includes fire walking. When only two castaways remain, the final tribal council is convened and it's played out "like a court case," reports Burnett. "There are OPENING ARGUMENTS . Then they answer questions from the JURORS...and make CLOSING ARGUMENTS." Burnett admits to being shocked at what went down. "A lot of resentment came out," he recalls. Following the episode is a live reunion with ALL 16 contestants, who talk about their experiences.

First thought: IF the Kelly "swinging from a vine" IC picture is real (see ferretkiss' qualifier about it on another thread), it would have to be from "Rites of Passage," meaning that Kelly makes the final three.

Thanks for the info,I haven't read the tv guide in ages.do they still have that ridiculously easy crossword puzzle???I'm glad the little controversy whether there were going to be tribal councils for the final 4 and final 3 rounds have been put to rest.Obviously, the tribal councils are the dramatic anchor of the show, and it would have been a huge disappointment,to dispense with them for the final 4 and final 3 rounds. Obviously Rudy would have been gone long ago if the show had just relied on an aptitude for camping games to winnow the cast down to the final two.I might have turned the show off,if all they did was see who was better at hop-scotch or shuffleboard,or whichever cheesy game they could come up with to determine who would be sent off to the join the other more youthful castaways at Malaysia Club Med. I must admit the trivia game regarding the other castaways sounds very intriguing.Perhaps it could be marketed to the general public???Where's my Colleen ACtion Figure??
