Das Mole 2366 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Seventeen Magazine Model" 02-20-06, 03:36 PM (EST) "The Next Food Network Star" Has anybody else seen the commercials for this? I think it seems like kind of an OK idea...I think I might try watching it. Hopefully the debut of Reality TV on the Food Network won't mutate and take over the entire network like it did on one channel *cough*MTV*cough*. "RE: The Next Food Network Star" I wouldn't worry too much about reality TV on Food Network, yet. This is the only one so far, that is if you don't count Iron Chef America and the various Food Network Challenges Because 3 Vinces are better than one.   Top

"RE: The Next Food Network Star" This must be the second season because I actually saw an episode or two of this about a year ago or so. Two guys won the thing last year and got their own show, although I haven't seen it or know if its still on.   Top

The format gave a lot of insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of putting together a TV show. The contestants were good, and even though my favorite didn't win, I was pleased with the way the show turned out. The only complaint I had from the first season was the voting at the end of the season. Most of the folks from this forum who tried to participate in the online voting weren't able to, because the website traffic was so high.   Top

"RE: The Next Food Network Star" This is the second season as mentioned above and the first season I found very pleasing. As a matter of fact, you can prolly find the thresds here where we discussed it. It was on for like 4 weeks and seems like it was during the summer time before Big Bother came on. May/June of last year? I am too lazy to go look it up!   Top
