NightScribe 761 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Fitness Correspondent" 09-28-01, 12:53 PM (EST) "Possible nickname spoiler" It occured to me that both Kims have nicknames. Now, unless they came into the game with these nicknames, we could have a potential spoiler. If they did not have nicknames before the show, why the need to differentiate between the two? They're in different tribes, right? No need yet to be confused between them. Does this indicate that both Kims make it past the merge and the new tribe gives them nicknames to tell them apart? Thoughts? NS Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't.   Top

I do remember reading somewhere that Kim Powers was "given the nickname Little Bit to differentiate her from the other Kim" but I have no idea if MamaKim had that nickname before S3. Regardless, my thinking is that the nicknames were merely to lessen the confusion as viewers tend to go with survivors on a first-name basis and 2 Kims is confusing enough even if they're in separate tribes. This may or may not mean anything at all when it comes to determining if either or both make it to the merger. "Permit me to introduce myself. I am Pepe Le Pew, your lover."   Top

I also think it's interested that one is "Big Mama" and the other "Little Bit" -- big and little (wonder how Big feels about that?) Anyways, it makes me wonder if they really did have those nicknames prior to the show or not -- the opposite nature of the names makes it curious. -SB   Top

The only nickname that I've heard is "Mama Kim" (with no reference to "Big")... While I think that they still seem to be opposites (little bit sounds like the sort of name you'd give your little sister), the "big" vs. "little" reference does not exist. Actually, I don't know what to make of these Kim nicks, did some guy in promotions dept. just come up with them as a way to distinguish between the two Kims or did either or both of these nicks pre-exist? Pre-existing nicks would be more telling re. personality etc. Lindsey is supposedly nicked "Insano" (unless that's another product of some jokers I won't mention by name) which if true would indicate to me she probably shouldn't last long, bubbleheads won't be tollerated after Kimmi's gaff last season.
