"Sambura gets fire"
I saw this on E news daily. By the second day, Sambura has fire while Boran does not. I believe they avtually start the fire without matches, but the phone rang when they were explaining that part. I don't know if this helps you spoilers, but I thought I would post it. GOD BLESS AMERICA

The immunity challenge giving both tribes fire would be on the third day so Sambura must have started their fire rubbing wood sticks together or using real glasses? I don't think the magnifying lens disguised as eyeglasses would get through again like it did with Pagong.

3. "Who makes fire?"

If someone makes fire without matches, would that person be safe in first TC? Personally, I would make that person safe, in case something happens to matches, despite what I thought of that person as a person or a player or whatever; useful skills are useful skills. Or would some consider that a threat? Any ideas anyone?

I believe that 'if' Debb had been successful in getting the fire going during the first ep, she would still have been booted because of her abrasive personality rubbing off onto people. However, I think with most people it might have bought them an extra ep or two -- they'll remember what you've done for them lately.
On second thought, fire-building is more of a team effort than an individual effort. You'd likely have two or three people, at least, gathering around trying to do their bit to get the fire going so it'd be hard to give credit to only one person for this.
