LAST EDITED ON 07-06-04 AT 06:33 PM (EST)I couldn't think of a title for the game, so I may just call it the "New Amazing Race Game" or "NARG." What do you think?  As opposed to the PTTE game, in this one points are good. Get as many of them as you can. Love the points... Wish for points... Name your points... Do whatever you want. Each week, you will bet a number of your points on any of the racers you want. If the team does well, you'll earn lots of points. If they do poorly, you'll go backwards a little. Easy, right?  Each week I'll post the payout table for each respective finishing. For instance, here's Week One: 1st place - 2x
2nd - 1.75x
3rd - 1.5x
4th - 1.25x
5th - Break even
6th - Break even
7th - Break even
8th - .75x
9th - .5x
10th - .25x
Last place - 0x These values tell you what I will multiply your bet by. The better your team places, the more points you get back. For instance, if you bet 100 points on Alison/Donny and they place 3rd in Leg 1, you get:100 * 1.5 = 150 pts (won 50) However, if you bet 100 on Alison/Donny and they get 9th... 100 * .5 = 50 pts (lost 50) Notes on wagers:
1. You do not have to bet all your points. You can bank some each week, and they will join you in the next round.
2. ALL decimals will be rounded up. If you bet 15 and end up getting 26.25 back, I will round you up to 27 points.
3. You may bet on a maximum of 5 teams, if you so desire.
4. No fractions or decimal betting allowed. I like my integers. WARNING: If your team finishes last on the leg of the race, you lose your entire bet, so be very careful. You may want to hedge your bet a little. And, because I'm feeling extra generous today, I'll give each and every one of you 20 points. Here are the TAR5 teams for Leg 1:

Bob/Joyce
Brandon/Nicole
Charla/Mirna
Chip/Kim
Colin/Christie
Dennis/Erika
Jim/Marsha
Kami/Karli
Linda/Karen
Marshall/Lance Remember, you have 20 points to start. Use them wisely. Bet all of em on one team, or spread them out between two or three teams. However you want to do it. Oh yeah, final rule: HAVE FUN! Edited to add: Entries due by showtime, 9:30 PM EST. Late entries will be penalized. 
Points are non-refundable. Any claims of lost or stolen points should be directed to the Office of Pointage Affairs, Jimsville, JM 54321.
