Every member is automatically enabled to get PM's (unless they have chosen to disable the option in their profile).

To the right of the title on each post in an unlocked thread has a series of icons. The first one is for e-mails. Clicking on that icon allows a poster to send an e-mail to the person who created that post. The e-mail will be routed through the board to the e-mail address the poster used when they signed up.

The second icon is for PM's (Private Messages). Clicking on that icon will allow someone to send a PM to the person who created the post. PM's show up in the board mailbox associated with each account. You know you have a PM to read when you see a red flag waving under the tiny type announcement button at the top of the conferences main pages - the one where you select when you are choosing which forum to post in.

Please note that PM's and e-mails sent through the board are subject to the same board rules as posts. Bashing and flaming of other posters is not permitted and the PG/PG-13 rating still applies, etc. If you receive a message that you believe violates board rules please copy it and e-mail or PM it to a mod.
