"Crazy voting thought"
I was just thinking about all the voting I have done this season and the discussions on voting trends and people's comments on who they vote for and how often they get through.

My conclusions:

Call-in votes have very little affect on who will make it through to the next round.

The text-message votes are what determine the bootees and who will make it through.

Theoretically each contestant would get the same number of votes if people are continuously calling in and voting, even across time zones. However, one person with unlimited free text-messaging can make how many votes in the two hours whereas in two hours I only got through 5 times on the phone. It would seem as thought a couple hundred or even a couple thousand text-messages could be sent in the same time that I voted 5 measly times. Unfortunately I have Verizon Wireless and cannot vote by text-message. (Or am I wrong about that--only Cingular Wireless customers can send a text vote?)
This makes me think that my call-in votes do not matter at all.

1. "RE: Crazy voting thought"
You are right. In a given amount of time the amount of votes cast is limited by the phone lines available. The actual attempted votes could vary greatly by contestant, but the votes that are counted are always going to be very close. That is why the total vote between the final three has varied by just 1% according to Seacrest.
