"I thought they had to learn the songs..."
But during Bo's first performance, did anyone else catch the big screen teleprompter showing the words to the song he was singing? Do they do this every week, or just this time since they had to do three songs?

I did not see a teleprompter but the best of the best can sometimes need a teleprompter. They had 3 songs to learn in a shortened week due to the fact that they went home. Well if Bo was using the teleprompter, you could not tell it by me. however, I would not be upset if they did.

Like Josh said, with three songs, I could see them being cut a break. But if any of the contestants had been overly reliant on the teleprompter, it could have negatively affected their performance. I just keep thinking about soap operas and episodes of SNL where it was obvious that an actor was relying on the teleprompter, and they really sucked.

It's funny because Bo's reading the teleprompter is what started this topic and I was reading this morning on those other boards how people were bashing Carrie for constantly reading the teleprompter when she was singing "Cryin". I personally did not notice either one of them doing that since I guess I was concentrating more on the singing. However, like Bebo and I said with 3 songs, its understandable.

I usually listen with my eyes closed. Once sour notes pop up, I distract myself with the computer or a crossword puzzle.
Last night, I had to open my eyes to stare enawed and totally mesmerized by Bo's second song. Wow!

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
