"Grandpa Knows Best"
He's right, in the end, when all a husband and wife can do is sit and talk while watching the sunset, it is better to have someone whom you can hold hands with and have really good meaningful conversations with.

Not that Tessa isn't spectacular in the other department either. She is a win-win whichever way you look at her.

I had never watched this show before, but I watched the finale, weird huh, I guess because I saw him either on Oprah or Ellen can't remember which any way I was talking to the TV listen to grandpa listen to grandpa. I am so glad he picked Tessa. Bevin I felt was acting and fake especially when she tried to butter up Andy by telling him how she talked to his sister etc etc.
Grandpa and Andy's sister were the smartest on the subject. I was even PO'd with grandma.

It was obvious that Grandpa and Sis really liked Tessa the best. They were trying to steer Andy towards her.

Ok, I'm, up at 6:37am in the frickin' morning writing this because I was too tired last night to reply in any coherent manner. What got me up at this at the ungodly hour, when I could have had the luxury of sleeping until at least 6:38, was the the Bevin hating. I only read a few posts and could have missed Bevin admirers from days past but what I did read was mean and closed minded. Bevin gave her all from the start. She was real, vulnerable and bravely disclosed many aspects of herself to give a full and true picture of who she is and what's shaped her. Oh, my God -- she was married, oh my God -- she has tattoos, oh my God -- she's has had more life experience that's contributed to self-knowledge, oh my God -- she's human; march her to the plank. If HER 'baggage" is criteria for judgment then most of us would be ungracefully swimming with the fishes. If she was primarily using her sexuality to blind the poor Monotone, then she really blew it by exposing her joy, exuberance, love and stupidly talked too d**m much about real things. Andy was portrayed as the perfect fifties throw-back, nice but so blah. I've concluded she got so carried away with the dream of happiness and romance with such a bad fit for her level of realness due to low self-esteem and his and over-the-top encouragment of her feelings. Go Bevin - find that special man who deserves you and I hope you realize how remarkable you are.

I must add that I thought Tessa was lovely and special in her own right. My only critisism is her shameless enthusiasm for being a Navy wife.

Coherent? Huh? Huh?

Although I was rooting for Tessa almost from the beginning, I really felt bad for Bevin at the final ceremony. That was real pain reflected in her eyes when she realized that Andy was choosing Tessa. I don't know how anyone could've watched that and not felt sorry for her, regardless of how they felt about her during the show.

I too was rooting for Tessa. Even though she took longer to open up, that should be no critism...it's just her personality. I thought she was sincere and lovely and someone he could enjoy life with. Having said that, of course I felt really bad for Bevin...as would anyone watching her pain. She was obviously quite smitten and in love with Andy...and the fact that she could not even speak nor say goodbye...well, I think that spoke volumes. I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Bevin to be the next Bachelorette! I wish the best to Tessa and Andy, I hope this one doesn't have the Bachelor curse!

But tell me how you feel....... LOL !

Since I don't want to invest more time in things that have been either addressed in prior posts elsewhere or dignify the newly awoken (literally speaking) nor do I wish to dignify the obvious incomprehension of the original message, I'll just say this is not a Bevin hate thread GET IT ?

Bevin didn't get the candy she craved so much and wanted so bad that she could taste it. That's why we all saw the devastated look that interestingly enough almost seemed like she aged 10 years more right in front of our eyes. Now why would anyone want to add insult to injury?

Tessa won fair and square. Not once did she express either verbally or through her actions that she was hell-bent on becoming a Navy (Officer's) wife.

Face it, Tessa won and she got her fairy tale ending, and that's the most coherent part of it all !

Glad I don't have to lose sleep over them.

Did anyone else catch Bevin's words in the limo as she was leaving the rose ceremony? She said, "This always happens to me, I give my heart and get it broken" or at least words to that effect. Was her love genuine? I don't know nor does anyone else. She may have thought she was in love but perhaps she was looking for a way out of a life that has not been so great to this point. I sincerely wish her happiness and love and perhaps she should take it really slow or stop looking entirely and then perhaps she will find it.

I'm glad that Andy had listened to Grandpa (the voice of reason). True, that physical attraction was strong, but as far as I have seen, OK, a guy I used to date, told me that he and his ex-wife used to "do" it at least 5 times a day, everyday, when they first got together (more information than I needed to know), but it dies down after a year. Then they realized they had nothing in common beside committed to their child. He gave the marriage a chance, seven years to be exact, before they agreed to a divorce.

I guess I have learned something from him (the guy I used to date), and I've learned from Andy's grandpa as well.

With sixty years under his marriage belt, who could possibly discredit the wisdom of Grandpa Baldwin ! I'm pretty sure Gramma wasn't such an angel, did you hear her talk last night?
